Body fat serves as an energy store, a padding against mechanical impacts, a coating against heat loss, a construction material for tissues and organs, and as a carrier substance for vitamins and other important components of metabolism, just to name a few

A nursing student is caring for a patient who is taking sucralfate (Carafate) and ciprofloxin (Cipro) to treat peptic ulcer dise
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

D. "Sucralfate has a moderate acid-neutralizing capacity."

Explanation:

Sucralfate is used to treat peptic ulcers in combination with other drugs. It reacts with hydrochloric acid in the stomach and forms a viscous material by mechanism of cross-linking. This material has paste like consistency and forms a protective barrier on ulcers by attaching with the proteins on ulcer surface. The barrier does not allow further harm due to action of acid on ulcer. It also does not allow the diffusion of hydrogen ions back into stomach cells. But it is not involved in neutralizing the acid and increasing the pH of stomach. It can show minor antacid activity but that it not considered clinically significant.

How does school affect your personal physical fitness and dietary practices?
ipn [44]

Explanation:

P.E. can be hard on students. I personally get very sore after many of the workouts the school has us do as well as many students. Out of school we often don't exercise because we know we will have to do it at school and because we are already sore we have no motivation or want to exercise.  As for dietary practices many schools have been pushing for healthier food options which has its pros and cons. Believe it or not but healthier food options are more expensive for schools so instead of paying more the school pays the same amount for less food which cuts the portions of the students leaving them still hungry. It can be bad for the body not being able to eat when its hungry so it also leaves students hungry and tired which can affect their grades.
