How long does it take to change a flat plain into mountains?
ss7ja [257]
It would take millions of years to form a mountain as plates move very slowly and to form it first one plate should climb upon another. After this very slowly this hill will convert into a mountain.

Crystals are made using supersaturated solutions of solids in water.
labwork [276]

The way these supersaturated solutions are made is: A. The water would need to be heated to a higher temperature, which would give molecules and ions more kinetic energy, increasing solubility.

Solubility is simply a measure of how readily a substance is able to dissolve in a solvent to form a solution. Thus, a substance is soluble when it dissolves completely in a solvent and it is considered to be insoluble when it does not dissolve in a solvent or if it only dissolves partially.

A supersaturated solution can be defined as a solution that contains more solute than the equilibrium amount.

Generally, supersaturated solutions of solids in water are typically used for the creation of crystals because they are able to hold more of the solute than they would at room temperature.

In order to create these supersaturated solutions, the water should be heated to a higher temperature, so that the water molecules and ions can gain more kinetic energy and thereby increasing solubility.

In conclusion, heating the water to a higher temperature causes the water molecules and ions to gain more kinetic energy and thereby increasing solubility..

The Michelson-Morley experiment a) confirmed that time dilation occurs. b) proved that length contraction occurs. c) verified th
hram777 [196]

Answer:

e) indicated that the speed of light is the same in all inertial reference frames.

Explanation:

In 18th century, many scientists believed that the light just like air and water needs a medium to travel. They called this medium aether. They believed that even the space is not empty and filled with aether.

Michelson and Morley tried to prove the presence and speed of this aether through an interference experiment in 1887. They made an interferometer in which light was emitted at various angles with respect to the supposed aether. Both along the flow and against the flow to see the difference in the speed of light. But they did not find no major difference and thus it became the first proof to disprove the theory of aether.

It thus proved that the speed of light remains same in all inertial frames.

Also, it became a base for the special theory of relativity by Einstein.
