The dissociation reaction of CuX is as follows:

CuX = Cu2+ + X2-

The solubility product constant is given as 1.27×10^36 and is in terms of the concentration of the ionic species, it would be:

Ksp = 1.27×10^36 = [cu2 ][x2-] = [x][x]
x = 1.13x10^18 M

Calculate the volume of oxygen required to burn 12.00 l of ethane gas, c2h6, to produce carbon dioxide and water, if the volumes
kirza4 [7]
The volume of oxygen required to burn 12.00 L ethane is calculated as follows

find the moles of C2H6 used

At  STP  1 mole  is  always =  22.4 L, what about  12.00 L

= ( 12.00L  x 1 moles)  22.4 L = 0.536  moles

write the   reacting equation

2C2H6+  7O2 = 4CO2  + 6H2O
by use of mole ratio between C2H6 :O2 which is 2:7 the moles of O2

= 0.536  x7/2=  1.876  moles

again  at  STP  1mole =  22.4 L  what  about 1.876 moles

=    22.4 L x 1.876  moles/ 1 mole =  42.02 L

givi [52]
The solid compound, K2SO4 contains a cation called K+ and an anion called SO42-. In this case, there are 2 atoms of potassium, 1 atom of sulfur and 4 moles of oxygen. The compound also contains ionic bonds because of the composing non-metals and metal.

To titrate 45.00 milliliters of an unknown HCl sample, use 25.00 milliliters of a standard 0.2000 M NaOH titrant. What is the mo
gtnhenbr [62]
V ( HCl ) = 45.00 mL in liters : 45.00 / 1000 => 0.045 L

M ( HCl ) = ?

V ( NaOH ) = 25.00 / 1000 => 0.025 L

M ( NaOH) = 0.2000 M

number of moles NaOH :

n = M x V = 0.2000 x 0.025 => 0.005 moles of NaOH

Mole ratio:

HCl + NaOH = NaCl + H2O

1 mole HCl ---------- 1 mole NaOH
? mole HCl ---------- 0.005 moles NaOH

moles HCl = 0.005 x 1 / 1

= 0.005 moles of HCl :

M ( HCl ) = n / V

M ( HCl ) = 0.005 / 0.045

= 0.1111 M

hope this helps!
