A. 4,3,2.
When you add a coefficient it multiplies what it is connected to in math. So when you have 4 Fe, that means there are 4 Fe atoms. When you add a 3 in front of O₂, that will make 6 O atoms. Since the product (right) side is Fe₂0₃, and you need to add a 2 in front of it to balance the equation. After adding the coefficients you will have 4 Fe atoms and 6 O atoms on both the reactants (left) side and the products (right side. Hope this helps!

If a weak acid is 25% deprotonated at ph 4, what is the pka?if a weak acid is 25% deprotonated at ph 4, what is the pka?
Oksanka [162]
4.48
pH=pKa+log([A-/HA])

25% deprotonated tells us that A- is .25 and that the rest (75% is protonated) thats .75.

4 = pKa + log\frac{.25}{.75}
4 - log\frac{.25}{.75} = pKa
4.48=pKa

What is the orbital hybridization of a central atom that has one lone pair and bonds to:
svlad2 [7]

sp^3d is the type of orbital hybridization of a central atom that has one lone pair and bonds to four other atoms.

What is orbital hybridization?

In the context of valence bond theory, orbital hybridization (or hybridisation) refers to the idea of combining atomic orbitals to create new hybrid orbitals (with energies, forms, etc., distinct from the component atomic orbitals) suited for the pairing of electrons to form chemical bonds.

For instance, the valence-shell s orbital joins with three valence-shell p orbitals to generate four equivalent sp3 mixes that are arranged in a tetrahedral configuration around the carbon atom to connect to four distinct atoms.

Hybrid orbitals are symmetrically arranged in space and are helpful in the explanation of molecular geometry and atomic bonding characteristics. Usually, atomic orbitals with similar energies are combined to form hybrid orbitals.

. A reaction in which A, B, and C react to form products is first order in A, second order in B, and zero order in C. a) Write a
AleksAgata [21]

Answer:

a) r = k × [A] × [B]²

b) 3

Explanation:

Let's consider the following generic reaction

A + B + C ⇒ Products

The generic rate law is:

r = k × [A]ᵃ × [B]ᵇ × [C]ⁿ

where

 • r: reaction rate
 • k: rate constant
 • a, b, n: reaction orders

This reaction is first order in A, second order in B, and zero order in C. The rate law is:

r = k × [A]¹ × [B]² × [C]⁰

r = k × [A] × [B]²

The overall order of the reaction is the sum of the individual reaction orders.

1 + 2 + 0 = 3
