How many oxygen atoms are in 68.8mg Na₂S₂O₃ 5H₂O

It should be 8 O atoms. 3O atoms in Na2S2O3 and 5O atom in 5H2O.  The reason there are 5 O atoms are because the 5 in front of H2O means you multiply each atom in the compound by that number (like the distributive property). The H2 molecule becomes 10 Hydrogen atoms (5*2) and the Oxygen becomes 5 Oxygen atoms (5*1). Then you add the 5O atoms to the 3O atoms which equals 8

How many molecules are in 2.38g of SO2
Murrr4er [49]

2.63 x 10^22 molecules of SO2.

To find this, start with what you know.

2.38g of SO2.

You need to first convert this into Moles since you cannot directly convert grams into molecules. In order to convert grams to moles, you need to find the molecular mass of SO2 - 64.066.

This is because Sulfur has the mass of 32.066 and Oxygen has a mass of 16, but since there are two Oxygen atoms, it's going to be 32.

Your equation should currently appear as so:

2.38g of SO2 = 1 Mole of SO2 / 64.066

Now, you need to convert this to molecules.

Whenever you are searching for molecules without a given amount, you always use Avogadro's number: 6.02 x 10^23

Now, your equation should appear as so:

2.38g SO2 = 1 Mole of SO2 / 64.066 next to a new fraction which is 6.02 x 10^23 / 1 Mole of SO2

Now, multiply across (2.38 x 1 x 6.02 x 10^23). When using Avogadro's number, don't forget to place parenthesis around it.

Then, divide that number by the bottom: 64.066.

Thus, your final answer is that there is 2.63 x 10^22 molecules of SO2.

Don't forget your units!

Hope this helps!

Solar radiation provides more heat and cleaner than near the pools on Earth the greatest amount of heat is moved away from the e
Rashid [163]

Answer:

Ocean Currents

Explanation:

The correct answer is Ocean currents.

When the earth receives solar radiation, a large fraction of this incident radiation is usually absorbed by the oceans and the seas, which become warm. Usually, equitorial regions are the ones that have this phenomenon. Now, when ocean currents are flowing from the equator, they usually carry this warm water with them thereby moving the greatest amount of heat from the equator on its way out.

For example, In the Pacific Ocean, there is a current known as Alaska Current that carries warm water in the northward direction thereby making Anchorage which is Alaska's largest city to have a much mild weather than the inland areas with the same latitude.
