An object weighs 100 newtons on earth's surface when it is moved to a point one earth radius above earth's surface it will weigh
WITCHER [35]
25 newtons.
Since the force of gravity varies inversely with the square of the distance. At distance R, the force is 100 Newtons. So we now have a distance 2R. So
(1) 100 = M/R^2
 (2) X = M/(2R)^2
 Solve equation (1) for M
 100 = M/R^2
 100R^2 = M
 Substitute the value for M into equation (2) and solve
 X = M/(2R)^2
 X = (100R^2)/(2R)^2
 X = (100R^2)/(4R^2)
 X = (100)/(4)
 X = 25
 So the object at the higher altitude will weight 25 newtons.

Find the length of a microscope having magnifying power 100, if the focal lengths of the objective and eye piece are 2 cm and 5
sp2606 [1]

Answer:

   L = 40 cm

Explanation:

A microscope is an optical instrument built by two lenses in such a way that the image of the first is formed within the distance of the other (eyepiece), so that the latter creates an enlarged virtual image of the object, for which the magnification of the microscope is the same to the multiplication of the magnification of each lens

    M = - L / f₀ (25 cm /f_{e})

where fo and fe are the focal lengths of the objective and eyepiece, 25 cm is the near vision distance and L is the length of the microscope

     L = - M f_{o} f_{e} / 25

let's calculate

     L = - (-100) 2 5/25

      L = 40 cm
