Humans don't generally have a symbiotic relationship with earth. We take many of earth's natural resources and tear down the landscape of earth without putting any of it back. Although humans are receiving positively from earth, we aren't giving back, which is what would have to happen in order to obtain a symbiotic relationship. It is more a parasitic relationship.

Alexandra [31]

Answer:

mass of C₂H₄N₂ = 3.472 g

Explanation:

We have the following chemical reaction:

3 CH₄ + 5 CO₂ + 8 NH₃ → 4 C₂H₄N₂ + 10 H₂O

Using the masses given by the problem we calculate the number of moles for each reactant:

number of moles = mass / molecular weight

number of moles of CO₂ = 13.2 / 44 = 0.3 moles

number of moles of NH₃ = 2.18 / 17 = 0.13 moles

number of moles of CH₄ = 17 / 16 = 1.06 moles

We can see that the limiting reactant is ammonia NH₃. Now we can devise the following reasoning:

if         8 moles of NH₃ produces 4 moles of C₂H₄N₂

then    0.13 moles of NH₃ produces X moles of C₂H₄N₂

X = (0.13 × 4) / 8 = 0.062 moles of C₂H₄N₂

mass of C₂H₄N₂ = number of moles × molecular weight

mass of C₂H₄N₂ = 0.062 × 56 = 3.472 g

Molecules of carbon dioxide are linear. What type of force exists between these molecules?
Ratling [72]

Answer:

D) Van der Waals

Explanation:

Given that the geometry is linear, one finds that the C = O bonds cancel out any polar effects due to the linear geometry ( O = C =  O )and gives the molecule a net dipole of zero. Interactions are therefore dependent upon dispersion forces that are classified as Van der Waal Forces or London Forces.

Forty miles above the earth's surface the temperature is 250k and the pressure is only 0.20 torr. what is the density of air at
alexira [117]

For a Forty miles above the earth's surface, the temperature at 250k and the pressure at only 0.20 torr, the density of air at this altitude  is mathematically given as

d=3.732*10{-4}g/l

<h3>What is the density of air at this altitude?</h3>

Generally, the equation for the ideal gas   is mathematically given as

PV=(m/mw)RT

Therefore

d=m/v

d=26,664*20/83.14*250

d=0.37152

d=3.732*10{-4}g/l

In conclusion, the density

d=3.732*10{-4}g/l

If 18.5 grams of CuCl2 react with 22.8 grams of NaNO3, what mass of NaCl can be formed?
alexandr402 [8]

Answer:- 15.7 grams of NaCl can be formed.

Solution:- The balanced equation is:

CuCl_2+2NaNO_3\rightarrow Cu(NO_3)_2+2NaCl

From this balanced equation, there is 1:2 mol ratio between CuCl_2 and NaNO_3 .

Let's calculate the grams of NaCl for the given grams of both the reactants using stoichiometry and see which one gives least amount of it. The least amount of NaCl formed would be the answer to our problem.

The calculations are as follows:

18.5g CuCl_2(\frac{1mol CuCl_2}{134.45g CuCl_2})(\frac{2mol NaCl}{1mol CuCl_2})(\frac{58.44g NaCl}{1mol NaCl})

= 16.1 g NaCl

22.8g NaNO_3(\frac{1mol NaNO_3}{84.99g NaNO_3})(\frac{2mol NaCl}{2mol NaNO_3})(\frac{58.44g NaCl}{1mol NaCl})

= 15.7 g NaCl

From above calculations, sodium nitrate is limiting as it gives least amount of NaCl.

So, 15.7 grams of NaCl can be formed from given grams of the reactants.
