<h2>After 5.98 seconds the rock reaches 6 meter</h2>

Explanation:

We need to find when will the rock be 6 meters,

That is displacement = 6 - 26 = -20 m

We have equation of motion s = ut + 0.5 at²

        Initial velocity, u = 26 m/s

        Acceleration, a = -9.81 m/s²

        Displacement, s = -20 m

     Substituting

                      s = ut + 0.5 at²

                      -20 = 26 x t + 0.5 x -9.81 x t²

                      4.905 t²  - 26 t -20 = 0

                      t = 5.98 s    or   t = -0.68 s

Time is always positive,

So after 5.98 seconds the rock reaches 6 meter

Tema [17]

Answer:

33.6\times10^{-4}}\text{ m} = 3.36 mm

Explanation:

From Ohm's law,

V = IR (Voltage = Current * Resistance)

R = \dfrac{V}{I}

The geometric definition of resistance is

R = \rho\dfrac{l}{A}

where \rho is the resistivity of the material, l  and A are the length and cross-sectional area, respectively.

A = \rho\dfrac{l}{R}

A = \rho\dfrac{l\timesI}{V}

Since the wire is assumed to have a circular cross-section, its area is given by

A = \pi\dfrac{d^2}{4} where d is the diameter.

\pi\dfrac{d^2}{4} = \rho\dfrac{l\timesI}{V}

d = \sqrt{\dfrac{4\rho l I}{\pi\times V}}

Resistivity of copper = 1.68\times10^{-8}. With these and other given values,

d = \sqrt{\dfrac{4\times1.68\times10^{-8}\times1.5\times290}{3.14\times 0.55}}

d = \sqrt{1128.43\times10^{-8}}

d = 33.6\times10^{-4} \text{ m}

By how much does the pressure of a gas in a rigid vessel decrease when the temperature drops from 0 ∘C to –1∘C?
Ugo [173]
When a problem says a rigid vessel, it means that volume is constant. At constant V, pressure and temperature are indirectly proportional. We calculate as follows:

P1/T1 = P2/T2
P1/P2 = T1/T2
P1/P2 = 273.15 / 272.15
P1/P2 = 1.00

Hope this helps. Have a nice day.
