Mechanical digestion is a process that begins the second the food particles reach the mouth. Teeth initiates mechanical digestion by grinding the food up which is a process called masticating, or simply just chewing.

Chemical digestion is a process when your saliva helps soften the food into a mush-type texture. Salivary amylase enzyme helps digesting the carbohydrates and mucus. This process helps the food particles become smaller to help you swallow.

After swallowing, the food goes through a process which requires chemical and mechanical treatment. Inside the stomach mechanical digestion will help churn the food bolus, whereas the chemical process will mix the bolus with digestive juices released by the stomach lining cells.

Hope this helps! :)

Mechanical digestion begins in the mouth as the food is chewed.(it prepares the food for chemical digestion) Chemical digestion involves breaking down the food into simpler nutrients that can be used by the cells. Chemical digestion begins in the mouth when food mixes with saliva. Saliva contains an enzyme (amylase) that begins the breakdown of carbohydrates.

In levelling, the following staff readings were observed involving an inverted staff, A = 2.915 and B = -2.028. What is the rise
salantis [7]

Answer:

The rise from A to B is 0.887

Solution:

As per the question:

The following reading of an inverted staff is given as:

A = 2.915

B = -2.028

Here, for inverted staff, the greater reading shows greater elevation and lesser reading shows lower elevation.

Thus

The rise from A to B is given as:

A - B = 2.915 - 2.028 = 0.887

Fast need answers <br>Find the amount of force if the body has pressure of 178 Pa on 18 mm²
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

Force = 3.204Newton

Explanation:

Given the following data;

Pressure = 178

Area = 18 mm² to meter = 18/1000 = 0.018 m²

To find the force;

Force = pressure * area

Force = 178 * 0.018

Force = 3.204 Newton.
