The positive displacement x = 0.27 cm.

<u>Explanation:</u>

The formula to calculate displacement of a particle executing simple harmonic motion is given by,

                                   x  =  A s i n ( ω t )

where x represents the displacement,

          A represents the amplitude,

          ω represents the angular frequency,

           t represents the time.

Given, amplitude A = 3.43 cm,   t = 1 / 2  = 0.5 s

                                  x = A s i n ( ω t )

Since ω = 2πf,

                                  x = 3.43 sin (2\times3.14\times50\times0.5)

                                     = 3.43 sin(157)

                                  x = 0.27 cm.

What is the volume of water in 150ml of the 35% w/w of sucrose solution with a specific gravity of 1.115?
pentagon [3]

Answer:108.71 mL

Explanation:

Given

Volume of sample V=150 mL

concentration of sucrose solution 35 % w/w i.e. In  100 gm of sample 35 gm is sucrose

specific gravity =1.115

Density of solution \rho _s=1.115\times density\ of\ water

Thus

\rho _s=1.15\times 1 gm/mL=1.115\ gm/mL

mass of sample M=1.115\times 150=167.25\ gm

mass of sucrose m_s=0.35\times 167.25=58.53\ gm

mass of Water m_w=108.71 gm

Volume of water =108.71\times 1=108.781 mL

A solenoid has a radius Rs = 14.0 cm, length L = 3.50 m, and Ns = 6500 turns. The current in the solenoid decreases at the rate
babymother [125]

Answer:

E = 58.7 V/m

Explanation:

As we know that flux linked with the coil is given as

\phi = NBA

here we have

A = \pi R_s^2

B = \mu_o N i/L

now we have

\phi = N(\mu_o N i/L)(\pi R_s^2)

now the induced EMF is rate of change in magnetic flux

EMF = \frac{d\phi}{dt} = \mu_o N^2 \pi R_s^2 \frac{di}{dt}/L

now for induced electric field in the coil is linked with the EMF as

\int E. dL = EMF

E(2\pi r_c) = \mu_o N^2 \pi R_s^2 \frac{di}{dt}/L

E = \frac{\mu_o N^2 R_s^2 \frac{di}{dt}}{2 r_c L}

E = \frac{(4\pi \times 10^{-7})(6500^2)(0.14^2)(79)}{2(0.20)(3.50)}

E = 58.7 V/m
