It is because the moon is not actually parallel with the earth. This may not be the full answer...

It is because there axis of rotation is different. They are not parallel. In that case, during the full-moon, it's not necessary, that we will see a lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipse occurs when moon comes in-between of the Sun and the Earth.

Hope this helps!

It requires 350 joules to raise a certain amount of a substance from 10.0°C to 30.0°C. The specific heat of the substance is 1.2
Akimi4 [234]
I'll assume you are looking for the mass of the object, since that is the missing piece of the puzzle.

The important equation for heat and energy is

Energy = mass × specific heat × change in temperature

Things we know:
Energy needed is 350 J.
Specific heat = 1.2 J/g°C
Temp. change = (30-20)°

Now we just need to plug those in and rearrange the formula to find the mass!

350 = mass × 1.2 × 10

A moving freight car collides with an identical one that is at rest. If momentum is conserved, what happens to the second car af
yKpoI14uk [10]

For all elastic collisions we have

e = \frac{v_2 - v_1}{u_1 - u_2}

e = 1 = \frac{v_2 - v_1}{u_1 - u_2}

v_2 - v_1 = u - 0

also by momentum conservation we will have

m_1 u_1 + m_2 u_2 = m_1 v_1 + m_2 v_2

since two cars are identical so we know that

m_1 = m_2 = m

u + 0 = v_1 + v_2

now by solving two equations we will have

v_2 = u

v_1 = 0

so the correct answer must be

It attains the same speed as the first car.

A hamster eats a carrot before using its hamster wheel. The hamster wheel is connected to a generator which powers a light bulb.
Andrei [34K]

Answer: Chemical → Mechanical → Electrical → Radiant

Explanation:

First, the Hamster eats the carrot, then the hamster is getting chemical energy.

Now the hamster starts using his wheel, then he "transforms" the chemical energy into mechanical energy.

Now the mechanical energy is connected to a generator, this means that the mechanical energy (the rotation of the wheel) is being converted into electrical energy.

And we know that there is a light bulb powered by this electrical energy, then we have electrical energy being transformed into radiant energy.

Then the correct option is:

Chemical → Mechanical → Electrical → Radiant
