10pts Body Systems Interactions WebQuest Choose 7 out of the following 10 situations and use the Internet to research and write

an answer to the two questions. Remember to write the answers in your own words and to cite the sources of your information. Copying materials will result in a zero for the assignment. What two (or more) systems are involved in this process? How are they involved? Situations Playing a video game Getting energy to sit through class by eating cereal and a banana Going through puberty Touching a hot pan and yanking your hand away Jumping up and down Drinking water on a hot day Sneezing Blushing Hitting your head on the top of the car as you get into it Breathing harder during a jog For Example: Delivery of oxygen to the blood Answer: The respiratory system draws in oxygen-filled air from the environment through the nose and trachea to the lungs. In the tissues of the lungs, blood vessels cover the tiny air sacs called alveoli. Here, the oxygen is exchanged with the carbon dioxide being dumped by the blood. As part of the circulatory system, the heart pumps the blood to the lungs, and then to the rest of the body through arteries and veins, to deliver the oxygen to all the cells and pick up the carbon dioxide.

<span>systems are involved in this process, How are they involved?
The way that you touching </span><span> a hot pan and yanking your hand away is your body saying that "Aye, This isn't right" and our nerves go to the source where you had touched the hot pan... sending the signals to your brain,  Your hand might have a small blister..the reason why that is, because its your bidy naturally healing its self with an internal wound</span>

When 3.51 g of phosphorus was burned in chlorine, the product was a phosphorus chloride. Its vapor took 1.77 times as long to ef
kumpel [21]

Answer:

<em>molar mass of the phosphorus chloride = 138.06 g/mol</em>

<em></em>

Explanation:

<em>mass of phosphorus will be the same as mass of CO2, since it is stated that they are of equal amount.</em>

mass = 3.51 g

<em>lets assume that it took the CO2 1 sec to effuse, then the time taken by the phosphorus chloride will be 1.77 sec</em>

From this we can say that

rate of effusion of CO2 = 3.51/1 = 3.51 g/s

rate of effusion of the phosphorus chloride = 3.51/1.77 = 1.98 g/s

<em>From graham's equation of effusion</em>,

\frac{Rc}{Rp} = \sqrt{\frac{Mp\\}{Mc} }

Rc = rate of effusion of CO2 = 3.51 g/s

Rp = rate of effusion of phosphorus chloride = 1.98 g/s

Mc = molar mass of CO2 = 44.01 g/mol

Mp = molar mass of the phosphorus chloride = ?

Imputing values into the equation, we have

\frac{3.51}{1.98} = \sqrt{\frac{Mp\\}{44.01} }

1.77 = \frac{\sqrt{Mp} }{6.64}

11.75 = \sqrt{Mp}

Mp = 11.75^{2}

Mp = <em>molar mass of the phosphorus chloride = 138.06 g/mol</em>

Identify the change in state that does not have an increase in entropy. a. Water evaporating b. Dry ice subliming c. Water boili
jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

E. Water Freezing

Explanation:

Entropy refers to the degree of disorderliness of a system.

A. Water Evaporating: There is an increase in entropy, this is because the phase change is from liquid to gas. Gas particles are more disordered than liquid.

B. Dry Ice sublimating: Sublimating refers to a phase change from solid to gas. This is an increase in entropy, this is because the gas particles are more disordered than solid particles

C. Water Boiling: The phase change is from liquid to gaseous state. There is an increase in entropy. Gas particles are more disordered than liquid.

D. Ice melting: The phase change is from solid to liquid state. There is an increase in entropy. Liquid particles are more disordered than that of solid.

E. Water Freezing: The phase change is from liquid to solid state. There is a decrease in entropy. solid particles are less disordered than those of liquid.
