Answer:

The ratio of the temperature of helium to that of hydrogen gas is 2:1.

Explanation:

Atomic mass of hydrogen = M

Temperature of hydrogen gas =T

Pressure of the hydrogen gas = P

Mass of the hydrogen gas = m

Moles of the hydrogen gas = n=\frac{m}{2M}

Volume of the hydrogen gas = V

Using an ideal gas equation:

PV=nRT=PV=\frac{mRT}{M}...(1)

Temperature of helium gas =T'

Pressure of the helium gas = P'= P

Mass of the helium gas = m' =m

Moles of the helium  gas = n'=\frac{m}{M'}=\frac{m}{4M}

Volume of the helium gas = V' = V

Using an ideal gas equation:

P'V'=n'RT'=\frac{mRT'}{4M}...(2)

Divide (2) by (1)

\frac{P'V'}{PV}=\frac{\frac{mRT'}{4M}}{\frac{mRT}{2M}}

\frac{T'}{T}=\frac{2}{1}

The ratio of the temperature of helium to that of hydrogen gas is 2:1.

How many particles are in chemicals
stepan [7]

Answer:

6.022 x 10^23 particles

Explanation:

Chemists have chosen to count atoms and molecules using a unit called the mole (mol), from the Latin moles, meaning “pile” or “heap.”

One mole is 6.022 x 10^23 of the microscopic particles which make up the substance in question.

Hope this helped! :^)

In an aqueous solution which substance yields hydrogen ions as the only positive ion *
GenaCL600 [577]
The question is incomplete. Complete question is
<span>In an aqueus solution, which substance yields hydrogen ions as the only positive ions in the solution? 1)NaH 2)HCOOH 3)LiOH 4) CH3CH2OH?
.............................................................................................................................
Answer: Correct answer is option 2, HCOOH

Reason:
HCOOH is a formic acid. When mixed in water, it undergoes dissociation which can be represented as

HCOOH         </span>↔           HCOO-       +            H+

The compound NaH, will generate hydride ion (H-), while LiOH is an ionic compound, hence when dissolved in water it generated OH- ions. The compound CH3CH2OH is named as ethyl alcohol. This compound donot dissociate in aqueous medium.

Stellar fusion produces atoms up to and including ___________ Question 51 options: Helium (atomic number 2) Carbon (atomic numbe
Ganezh [65]
<h2>Iron (Z = 26)</h2>

Explanation:

  • Stellar fusion is the nuclear reaction that occurs in stars.
  • In this reaction, the nuclei build to form heavier elements.
  • Stars fuse elements of lighter ones to heavier ones
  • This fusion reaction occurs in their cores.
  • During this process, a lot of energy is released.
  • This process is also known as stellar nucleosynthesis as there is a synthesis of the different nucleus.
  • Stellar fusion produces lighter elements of many types including iron(Fe) and nickel(Ni) in many of the giant stars.
  • These elements remain trapped in the cores of stars.
