There is no set path that a scientific inquiry must follow. This is because every scientific inquiry will ask a different question, and will look for a different type of answer. Therefore, each inquiry will require a different method for finding out what we are looking for. Nevertheless, although the specific path we follow might vary, all scientific inquiries must adhere to the scientific method in order to be scientifically valid.

Due to the variables that each inquiry has, Scientific inquiry follows a path of questioning and testing a hypothesis, however this changes in response to specific details.

Calculate the partial pressure of oxygen given the total barometric pressure of 515 mmHg. Round to the nearest hundredth.
Eva8 [605]

The partial pressure of oxygen given the total barometric pressure is : 108.15 mmHg

Given data :

Total barometric pressure = 515 mmHg

Assuming oxygen percentage = 21%

Barometric pressure dry at 37°C

Determine the partial pressure of oxygen

Applying the relation below

Partial pressure = oxygen percentage * Barometric pressure

                          = 21% * 515 mmHg

                          = 108.15 mmHg

Hence we can conclude that the partial pressure of oxygen is 108.15 mmHg.

With the exception of our sun, most stars are huge, bright balls of gas located trillions of miles away from earth true or false
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Stars are bright and enormous astronomical bodies that are located at a large distance from the earth. They are made up of the lightest gaseous elements namely hydrogen and helium. These hydrogen atoms undergo the reaction of nuclear fusion, which fuels the energy of the star and allows the star to shine, releasing a large amount of energy. They are located about trillions of miles away from the location of the earth, due to which they appear smaller in size.

Thus, the above-given statement is True.

Identify each description as that of particles of a 1) solid 2) liquid 3) gas __ A. has definite volume but takes the shape of t
Korvikt [17]

Answer:

A.

Liquid

B.

Gas

C.

Gas

D.

Solid

E.

Liquid.

Explanation:

Solids have definite shape and volume and vibrate around a fixed position. Its relative intermolecular forces are very strong which holds its particles in a fixed position.

Liquids takes the shape of the container, that is no definite shape, has fixed volume and its particles move freely but are still attached to each other due to its mildly strong intermolecular forces.

Gases has no shape nor volume but it is highly compressible while its particles move freely in random paths.
