In any reaction, energy and matter is always constant. It cannot be created nor destroyed. However, energy can transform from one form into another (eg Kinteic Energy or Potential Energy), and the same goes for matter in which atoms rearrange to form molecules or compounds.

Energy and matter remain constant during chemical reactions.

Further Explanation:

The process of chemical conversion of one substance into another is known as a chemical reaction. The substances that undergo changes during chemical reactions are called reactants while those formed after the completion of chemical reactions are called products. The properties of products are generally different from those of reactants.

Law of conservation of mass:

This law states that the mass of an isolated system can neither be created nor be damaged in any chemical reaction. This implies that the mass of reactants should always be equal to that of products.

Law of conservation of energy:

According to this law, the total energy of an isolated system remains constant. Energy can only be transformed from one form to another.

Mass is the measure of the quantity of matter present in any substance. So mass also remains constant in chemical reactions.

Therefore energy and matter remain conserved during chemical reactions. They get converted from one form to other but can neither be created nor be destroyed.

A chemical reaction is carried out in a closed container. the energy absorbed by the chemical reaction is 100 kj. What is the en
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

Option A

Explanation:

The total heat absorbed during the chemical reaction is the total heat released by the surrounding.

Net change of heat is equal to zero

Hence, the energy liberated from the air or the walls of the containers would be equal to the energy absorbed by the chemical reactions is equal to 100 Kj

Thus, option A is correct

Reading the above graph to the nearest tenth of a milliliter, what is the volume of sodium hydroxide at the equivalence point?
Vlada [557]

Answer:

The volume of sodium hydroxide at the equivalence point is:

 • 14.9 mL of sodium hydroxide.

Explanation:

The equivalence point occurs when, in this case, the HCl is completely neutralized with the solution of NaOH, how you can see this doesn't occur in the last point but occurs in the nineteenth point, where the pH is no more acid (below to 7) but is 11 approximately, then you must see in the X-axis from this point and you can see the volume is almost 15, by this reason I calculate the valor of 14.9 milliliters.
