Answer:

The melting point of indium is 157.436 degrees Celsius.

Explanation:

The resistance of the platinum wire, R1 = 2

The temperature at R1 is, T1 = 20 degrees Celsius.

The increased resistance, R2 = 3.072

Let the temperature at 3.072 = T2

Now find the temperature at which the indium starts melting.

We know that α = ( R2 - R1 ) / [ R1 × ( T2 - T1 ) ]

Given, α = 3.9 x 10^-3/ degrees Celsius.

T2- T1   = ( R2 - R1 ) / R1 α

T2 – T1 = (3.072 – 2) / (2 × 3.9 x 10^-3)

T2 – T1 = 137.436

T2 = T1 + 137.436

T2 =  20 + 137.436

T2 = 157.436 degree Celsius

The density is 1.5 g/cm^3. the mass is 1500. what is the volume
Naddik [55]
The density of an object can be calculated using the formula Density = Mass/Volume. In this case however we are searching for the volume and must rearrange the formula so that we are solving for the volume. If you multiply both sides by volume and then divide both sides by mass you end up with the equation Volume = Mass/Density.

Volume = 1500g/1.5g/cm^3
Volume = 1000 cm^3

When the switched on, what type of energy is moving through the circuit?
BabaBlast [244]

Answer:

Heat energy

Explanation:

Electrons are flowing through the circuit, they pass through a resistor, in this case a light bulb. The energy is then transformed into light and heat energy.

On his way to deliver presents Santa has a minor accident. If the sleigh (1200 kg) was traveling at 322 m/s and the jet(4800 kg)
laiz [17]

Answer:

608.4m/s

Explanation:

We are given that

Mass of Sleigh,M=1200 kg

Speed of Sleigh,u=322 m/s

Speed of jet,u'=680 m/s

Mass of jet,m=4800 kg

Total mass=M+m=1200+4800=6000 kg

We have to find the final velocity of the two objects after the collision.

The collision is inelastic .

By using law of conservation of momentum

Mu+mu'=(m+M)v

Using the formula

1200\times 322+4800\times 680=6000v

6000v=3650400

v=\frac{3650400}{6000}

v=608.4m/s

Hence, the final  velocity of two objects after the collision=608.4m/s
