Answer:

The reason is mainly because Earth has an atmosphere.

Explanation:

We don't see as many craters in our planet as most of them have been eroded away by wind, water, volcanic activity or any other forces. Earth is also surrounded by an atmosphere which other planets like Mars, Mercury and the Moon lacks. The atmosphere reduces the impact of meteoroids when they hit the surface of a planet as the atmosphere disintegrates them into smaller particles. Also, the atmosphere creates a planet's own weather condition, no atmosphere means no weather. So, planets like Mars, Mercury where there is no atmosphere, there is no weather to erode away the craters. Hence, most of them are still visible on their surfaces.

The first law of thermodynamics relates the heat transfer into or out of a system to the change of internal and the work done on
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

The heat transferred into the system is 183.5 J.

Explanation:

The first law of thermodynamics relates the heat transfer into or out of a system to the change of internal and the work done on the system, through the following equations.

ΔU = Q - W

where;

ΔU is the change in internal energy

Q is the heat transfer into the system

W is the work done by the system

Given;

ΔU = 155 J

W = 28.5 J

Q = ?

155 = Q - 28.5

Q = 155 + 28.5

Q = 183.5 J

Therefore, the heat transferred into the system is 183.5 J.

The fluid pressure 10 ft underwater is _____ the fluid pressure 5 ft underwater. A.less than or greater than, depending on what
just olya [345]
I would say greater than because as you do deeper, the pressure strengthens. If you were in a 10 ft deep pool and you dive all the way to the bottom, the ears usually pop. That's because of the pressure. Whereas if you were to go five feet, your ears wouldn't. It depends on the age of the person. Hope this helps.

To wait until the oncoming vehicle passes before completing a left turn is known as:
Reika [66]

Answer:

Risk rejection

Explanation:

There are several factors that contribute to the degree of driving risks and they include but not limited to the ability of the driver and the condition of a vehicle. Other factors are condition of the environment and the condition of the highway. When driving, a driver may wait until an oncoming vehicle passes before making a complete left turn as a risk rejection strategy. Left turns are more dangerous when making them because drivers tend to accelerate on to a left turn. The wider radius of a left turn is know to led to higher speeds and greater pedestrian exposure. A driver is advised to have more mental and physical efforts when making a left turn.
