Answer: Option (b) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

A chemical reaction where heat energy is absorbed by the reactant molecules is known as an endothermic reaction.

For example, A + B + Heat \rightarrow AB

The value of \Delta H = +ve for an endothermic reaction.

In an endothermic reaction, heat being absorbed is utilized to break the bonds. Therefore, temperature of the system decreases.

On the other hand, a chemical reaction in which heat energy is released by the reactant molecules is known as an exothermic reaction.

The value of \Delta H = -ve for an exothermic reaction.

Thus, we can conclude that if the heat of reaction is negative, the reaction is exothermic.

Changing the pendulum design after the first trial was an example of _____________ to solve the problem presented by the teacher
Luden [163]

Answer:

Changing the pendulum design after the first trial was an example of evaluating the model to solve the problem presented by the teacher.

Explanation:

A model constitutes an abstract representation of a certain aspect of reality, and has a structure that is formed by the elements that characterize the aspect of the modeled reality and by the relationships between these elements.

This achieved result provides a better understanding of the problem being studied, offering aspects that can be changed or improved to solve the problem posed, obtaining more information about the reality of the phenomenon that is being represented.
