You have a grindstone (a disk) that is 95.2 kg, has a 0.399 m radius, and is turning at 93 rpm, and you press a steel axe agains

t it with a radial force of 19.6 N. (a) Assuming the kinetic coefficient of friction betweensteel and stone is 0.2, calculate the angular acceleration of thegrindstone.

Answer:

angular acceleration is -0.2063 rad/s²

Explanation:

Given data

mass m = 95.2 kg

radius r = 0.399 m

turning ω = 93 rpm

radial force N = 19.6 N

kinetic coefficient of friction μ = 0.2

to find out

angular acceleration

solution

we know frictional force that is = radial force × kinetic coefficient of friction

frictional force = 19.6 × 0.2

frictional force = 3.92 N

and

we know moment of inertia that is

γ = I ×α = frictional force × r

so

γ = 1/2 mr²α

α = -2f /mr

α = -2(3.92) /95.2 (0.399)

α = - 7.84 / 37.9848 = -0.2063

so angular acceleration is -0.2063 rad/s²

A 1800 kg car is accelerated at 2.6m/s^2 what force was needed to produce this acceleration
nataly862011 [7]

Answer:

4680 N

Explanation:

Force =mass x acceleration

Mass =1800kg

Acceleration =2.6m/s ^2

Hence Force = 1800kg x 2.6m/s

= 4680N

A block is on a frictionless table, on earth. The block accelerates at 7.5 m/s when a 70 N horizontal force is applied to it. Th
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

The weight of the block on the moon is 15 kg.

Explanation:

It is given that,

The acceleration of the block, a = 7.5 m/s²

Force applied to the box, F = 70 N

The mass of the block will be, m=\dfrac{F}{a}

m=\dfrac{70\ N}{7.5\ m/s^2}

m = 9.34 kg

The block and table are set up on the moon. The acceleration due to gravity at the surface of the moon is 1.62 m/s². The mass of the object remains the same. It weight W is given by :

W=m\times g

W=9.34\ kg\times 1.62\ m/s^2

W = 15.13 N

or

W = 15 N

So, the weight of the block on the moon is 15 kg. Hence, this is the required solution.

Two of the types of infrared light, ir-c and ir-a, are both components of sunlight. their wavelengths range from 3000 to 1,000,0
NikAS [45]
The energy of a light wave is calculated using the formula
E = hc/λ
h is the Planck's constant
c is the speed of light
λ is the wavelength
For the ir-c, the range is
6.63 x 10^-34 (3x10^8) / 3000 = 6.63 x 10 ^-29 J
6.63 x 10^-34 (3x10^8) / 1000000 = 1.99 x 10^-31 J

For the ir-a, the range is
6.63 x 10^-34 (3x10^8) / 700 = 2.84 x 10^-28 J
6.63 x 10^-34 (3x10^8) / 1400 = 1.42 x 10^-28 J

steposvetlana [31]
Having more than one atom in its molecule doesn't make
a substance a compound. It's only a compound if it has
atoms of different elements in its molecule.

Both atoms in an Oxygen molecule are the same element ... Oxygen.
