Uneven heating of the Earth's surface also forms large global wind patterns. In area near the equator, the sun is almost directly overhead for most of the year. Warm air rises at the equator and moves toward the poles. At the poles, the cooler air sinks and moves back toward the equator.

If you take a 15.0-mL portion of the stock solution and dilute it to a total volume of 0.700 L , what will be the concentration
nadezda [96]

Answer:

0.321M would be the concentration of the final solution

Explanation:

In the problem, you are decreasing the concentration of a solution (The stock solution) by the addition of more solvent (This process is known as dilution).

You are increasing the volume of the solution from 15mL to 700mL, that means the solution <em>is diluted:</em>

700mL / 15mL = 46.67 times

Now, to know the concentration of a final solution we need to take the concentration of the stock solution. <em>Assuming the stock solution is 15M:</em>

15M / 46.67 =

<h3>0.321M would be the concentration of the final solution</h3>

Convert 75 mL of water to gallons (show work)
Usimov [2.4K]

Answer:

0.01981 gallons.

Explanation:

In this problem, we need to convert 75 mL of water to gallons.

We know that, 1 gallon = 3785.41 mL

To convert 75 mL to gallons, we must use to the unitary method such that,

1 mL = (1/3785.41) gallon

So,

75\ mL=75\times \dfrac{1}{3785.41}\\\\=0.01981\ \text{gallons}

So, there are 0.01981 gallons in 75 mL of water.
