Answer:

Volume of hydrogen gas = 0.1539dm3

Explanation:

Equation of the reaction

Mg(s) + 2HCl --> MgCl2(aq) + H2(g)

Molar concentration of HCl = 0.2mol/dm3

Mass of magnesium = 0.0243g

Volume of HCl = 0.05dm3

No of moles of HCl = Volume * molar concentration

= 0.05 * 0.5

= 0.01mol

No of moles of Magnesium = mass/molecular weight

Molecular weight of Magnesium = 24g/mol

No of moles of magnesium = 0.0243/24

= 0.001013mol

Using stoichiometry,

Since 1 mole of Magnesium metal reacted with 2 moles of HCl acid

HCl is the limiting reagent.

Therefore, 1 mole of hydrogen gas is given off.

0.005 mole of hydrogen is given off.

Using ideal gas law, PV = nRT

Volume = (0.005 * 0.0821 * 300)/0.8

= 0.1539dm3

A 225-g sample of aluminum was heated to 125.5 oc, then placed into 500.0 g water at 22.5 oc. (the specific heat of aluminum is
Sidana [21]
when heat gained = heat lost

when AL is lost heat and water gain heat

∴ (M*C*ΔT)AL = (M*C*ΔT) water

when M(Al) is the mass of Al= 225g

C(Al) is the specific heat of Al = 0.9

ΔT(Al) = (125.5 - Tf)

and Mw is mass of water = 500g

Cw is the specific heat of water = 4.81

ΔT = (Tf - 22.5)

so by substitution:

∴225* 0.9 * ( 125.5 - Tf) = 500 * 4.81 * (Tf-22.5)

∴Tf = 30.5 °C

Calculate the number of moles found in 3.045x1024 atoms of helium.

PLS HELP
Kisachek [45]

Explanation:

so for this u have to use this equation where

Moles = number of particle/6.02×10^23

= 3.045 × 10^24/6.02×10^23

= 5.0581

write it to 3 S.F so 5.06 moles
