A rectangular coil with sides 0.130 m by 0.250 m has 513 turns of wire. It is rotated about its long axis in a uniform magnetic

field of 0.550 T that is perpendicular to the long axis. At what frequency, in complete cycles per second, must the coil be rotated for it to generate a maximum voltage of 115 V?

Voltage = N * Δ(BA)/Δt
BA = 0.57*0.16*0.22 = 2.0064e-2
N = 505
115/505 = Δ(BA)/Δt = 23/101
When the top of the coil rotates to the bottom (1/2 half cycle) BA changes from max to min and when the bottom rotates back to the top BA changes from min to max. So Δ(BA) is twice per cycle
So 2*101Δ(BA)=23Δt and Δt = 1/f
202*2.0064e-2/23 =Δt = 1/f => f =5.675Hz

Q1: A cyclist brakes to a stop. His thinking distance was 1m and his braking distance was 3m. What was his overall stopping dist
weeeeeb [17]

Answer:

1.) 4m

2.) 37 m

3.) 62m

4.) 2.5 s

Explanation:

1.) Given that the

Thinking distance = 1m

Breaking distance = 3m

Stopping distance = breaking distance + thinking distance

Stopping distance = 1 + 3 = 4m

2.) Given that the

Stopping distance = 52 m

Thinking distance = 15m

Breaking distance = 52 - 15 = 37m

3.) The stopping distance = 76m

Thinking distance = 14m

Breaking distance = 76 - 14 = 62m

It take the brakes 62m to slow the car down to a stop.

4.) Given that a lorry travels 28m when stopping from a speed of 4m/s. If its braking distance was 18m, what was the driver’s reaction time?

Thinking = stopping distance - braking distance

Thinking distance = 28 - 18 = 10m

Speed = distance/time

4 = 10/reaction time

Reaction time = 10/4

Reaction time = 2.5 s

Anuja is holding a stuffed dog, with a mass of 0.30 kg, when Derek decides that he wants it and tries to pull it away from Abuja
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

a = 3.33 m/s²

Explanation:

The horizontal acceleration of the dog can be found by using Newton's Second Law of Motion as follows:

F = ma

where,

F = Unbalanced force applied on the dog = 11 N - 10 N = 1 N

m = mass of the dog = 0.3 kg

a = horizontal acceleration of dog = ?

Therefore,

1 N = 0.3 kg(a)

a = 1 N/0.3 kg

a = 3.33 m/s²
