Answer:

equilibruim constant = \frac{[C] . [D] }{[A] }

Explanation:

HCO₃⁻(aq) + H₂O(l) ⇆ H₃O⁺(aq) + CO₃⁻²(aq)

if we rewrite using letters

A(aq) + B(l) ⇆ C(aq) + D(aq)

when in aqueous solution, the concentration of the water is not included in the expression of the equilibrium constant because it is assumed constant.

equilibruim constant = \frac{[C] . [D] }{[A] }

Notice that,  all the stoichiometric coefficients are equal to 1.

To how much water should 100 ml of 18m sulfuric acid be added to prepare a 1.5m solution
SashulF [63]

Answer:

Take 100 ml of a 18 molar solution. The total number of moles is (1 liter/1000 ml) 100 ml 18 moles is 1.8 moles.

1.5 moles in 1 liter so If 1.1 liters of water is added, the total volume is 1.2 liters and 1.8 moles are dissolves in it. 1.8 moles/ 1.2 liters is 1.5 moles per liter.

Using VSEPR theory which of the following would be the correct shape for nitrogen trifluoride?
RUDIKE [14]

Answer:

trigonal pyramidal

Explanation:

In NF3, the nitrogen atom is sp3 hybridized. Now we must remember that according to the VSEPR theory, the number of electron pairs in the valence shell of the central atom in a molecule determines its shape.

Here, the nitrogen atom is the central atom and its outermost shell is surrounded by four electron pairs - one lone pair and three bond pairs. This means that it has a tetrahedral electron pair geometry.

However, due to the lone pair, the three fluorine atoms are arranged in a  trigonal pyramidal geometry. Hence the correct shape of the molecule is trigonal pyramidal.
