Sodium Chloride also known as table salt, the sodium has a positive charge and the chloride a negative so after ionization that leaves you with two negative charges because it takes the salt away. possibly disforming the atoms.

Explanation:

Sodium has atomic number of 11 with electronic configuration of :

[Na]=1s^22s^22p63s^1

Sodium loose it single electron to attain stability of noble gas configuration. While this process electron gets removed from the outer shell of the sodium atom and it gains positive charge of +1.

[Na^+]=1s^22s^22p63s^0

Na\rightarrow Na^++e^- (Ionization)

State two example of how engineers use their knowledge of atoms to create new technologies?( I am giving you high points for thi
Eduardwww [97]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Two examples of how engineers use their knowledge of atoms to create new technologies would be the following.

1.- Engineers can develop new medicines for chronic diseases when they use their knowledge about atoms. With new technologies and different scientific approaches, this new molecular medicine can be more effective in the treatment of terrible diseases that affect humans. The challenge lies in how to make these new medicines more affordable to all kinds of people, not only rich people.

2.- Engineers can also apply their knowledge about atoms to improve the water conditions so more people can have freshwater. Engineers that specialize in the environment can research the properties of water molecules and atoms, so they can develop new ways to purify and improve the quality of water, that we know that water scarcity is a major problem in many parts of the world.

Compound A, an alkyl bromide with chemical formula , reacts with to yield compound B. Compound B in turn reacts with (1) , (2) ,
leonid [27]

Compound B will be propene as a result of an elimination reaction involving potassium tert-butoxide and an alkyl halide. In proton NMR, alkenes exhibit signals in the 5–6 ppm range.

What are Elimination Reactions?

Elimination reactions are one sort of reaction that are mostly utilized to convert saturated compounds (organic molecules that contain single carbon-carbon bonds) to unsaturated compounds (compounds that feature double or triple carbon-carbon bonds). Additionally, it plays a significant role in the production of alkenes.

The elimination response is composed of the following three major events:

 1. Proton exclusion.
 2. The synthesis of a C-C pi bond.
 3. As a result, the relationship between the departing group's members has grown increasingly distant.
