George W. Bush was the kind of president who committed troops abroad no matter where and for disastrous, unpopular amounts of time. He did not have much public support in committing troops to Iraq. However, Obama ran on a platform of reigning in commitment abroad. This led to troops leaving Afghanistan and Iraq. The other major thing about Obama's foreign policy is that he is working to negotiate with countries like Iran over nuclear programs, where Bush would have not and didn't. The other major shift is the role of drones. The usage of drones in hunting terrorist groups mean that Obama needs less boots on the ground and can do more remote warfare. This has led to some public opposition since drones kill innocent and guilty.

Verizon [17]

Answer:

D. both a and b.

Explanation:

Based on the information provided as well as surveys conducted and personal experience I can say that both a and b are correct answers. This is because when determining whether or not an individual wants a sporting event to happen they focus on their taste and preference as well as how much they have to spend. Popularity of the event does not matter when talking about an individuals demand because if they like the event they are going to want it to happen even if it is not popular with others.

How did FDR using the common (understandable) terms like "Lend-Lease" and the garden hose analogy help to sell the public on aid
kramer

Answer:

see below

Explanation:

1, most people weren't as knowledgeable back then and FDR wanted to present the plan in terms they would understand and not be overwhelmed by. 2, this one is supposed to be your opinion buuuut: either yes it did make participation inevitable because the opposing nations saw the US gearing up for war and saw that as defensive as opposed to neutral. or no it did not because the US never directly violated the offical postion of neutrality.
Give a brief account on ethics.

A subfield of philosophy known as "ethics" or "moral philosophy" aims to "systematize, defend, and recommend conceptions of right and bad action." Axiology is a discipline of philosophy that includes the fields of ethics and aesthetics, both of which deal with issues of value. Ethics seeks to address questions about human morality by defining terms like good and evil, right and wrong, virtue and vice, justice and crime, and other moral concepts. Moral philosophy is a branch of philosophy that has connections to value theory, descriptive ethics, and moral psychology.

Today, it is accepted that there are three main fields of research in ethics:

 1. The study of meta-ethics, or the study of the theoretical significance and framework of moral claims and the methods by which their potential truth values can be assessed;
 2. Normative ethics, which focuses on how to decide what is morally right to do in real-world situations;
 3. Applied ethics is the study of what a person is required (or allowed) to do in a certain circumstance or field of endeavor.
