<span>Conduction of electricity takes place when there are ions in the medium. The pure water has no ions to conduct electricity. When it has dissolved ions it will conduct electricity. In the case of dry soil it is very resistive to electricity. But when wet it has ions in water molecules among the soil particles. Then the soil becomes a conductor of electricity.</span>

In dry soil there is electrolyte (<span>substance that produces an </span>electrically<span> when dissolved in a polar solvent), but that electrolyte is not dissolved, to produce electricity free ions are needed. In pure water there is a very small amount of ions (H</span>⁺ and OH⁻). In wet soil d<span>issolved electrolyte separates into </span>cations<span> and </span>anions, <span>movement of anions and cations in opposite directions make current.</span>

The figure above shows the electric field around a positive charge. Where is the field strongest
WINSTONCH [101]
The electric field, or any field such as magnetic field or gravitational field, is the strongest the closer we get to the source of the field. The concentration of field lines also increases closer to the object; these field lines are seen to be coming out of a positive charge.
Therefore, the strongest electric field is at the point where the concentration of electric field lines is the highest.

Mass box A = 10 grams; Mass box B = 5 grams; Mass box C—made of one A and one B How many boxes of B would be required to make 30
Iteru [2.4K]
Mass box C is 10+5. (So C is 15)

But if C was 30, how many times could you put B (5) into it?

30/5 = 6

You would need 6 boxes of B to make 30 grams of C.
