A - the sum of two dice is 7

B - the first die is 2

P(A|B)=\dfrac{P(A \cap B)}{P(B)}\\\\ |\Omega|=6^2=36\\ |A\cap B|=1\\ |B|=1\cdot6=6\\\\ P(A\cap B)=\dfrac{1}{36}\\ P(B)=\dfrac{6}{36}=\dfrac{1}{6}\\\\ P(A|B)=\dfrac{\dfrac{1}{36}}{\dfrac{1}{6}}=\dfrac{1}{36}\cdot6=\dfrac{1}{6}

We have 6x6 for all the possibilities for rolling 2 dices. and we know: (2;5) is the only way So the answer should be 1/36 i hope its right  :)

Which points are on the graph of g(x) = (1/5)^x
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

A) The point( -1 , 5)  is satisfies the  given graph  g(x) = (\frac{1}{5} )^{x}

B) The point( 3 , 1/125)  is satisfies the  given graph  g(x) = (\frac{1}{5} )^{x}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>Explanation:-</em></u>

Given graph

               y =      g(x) = (\frac{1}{5} )^{x}

Put the point ( -1 , 5)

Put y =5 and x =-1

            5 = (\frac{1}{5} )^{-1} = 5

The point( -1 , 5)  is satisfies the  given graph

ii)

Given graph

               y =      g(x) = (\frac{1}{5} )^{x}

             \frac{1}{125}  = (\frac{1}{5} )^{3} = \frac{1}{125}

The point( 3 , 1/125)  is satisfies the  given graph  g(x) = (\frac{1}{5} )^{x}

Hi I would like to know how I can solve this problem.
murzikaleks [220]

The n-th term is

U_n = \dfrac14 n^2 (n+1)^2

so the 39th term is

U_{39} = \dfrac14 39^2 40^2 = \boxed{608,400}

Observe that

2^3 + 4^3 + 6^3 = 2^3 + 2^3\times2^3 + 2^3\times3^3 = 8\left(1^3+2^3+3^3)

which suggests that

V_n = 8U_n = \boxed{2n^2(n+1)^2}

What is the solution to -(6m+8)=4(17-m)
ale4655 [162]

<u>Answer:</u>

  • The solution to the problem is -38.

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

  • -(6m + 8) = 4(17 - m)
  • => -6m - 8 = 68 - 4m
  • => -6m + 4m = 68 + 8
  • => -2m = 76
  • => m = 76/-2
  • => m = -38

Hence, <u>the solution to the problem is -38.</u>

Hoped this helped.

Plumber A charges $60 an hour. Plumber B charges $40 to visit your home plus $55 for each hour. For how many hours will the tota
GuDViN [60]

Answer:

8 hours

$480

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume the hours be x

There should be two equations

For Plumber A = 60x

For Plumber B = 40 + 55x

Now in order to considered the cost to be the same we equate these two equations

60x = 40 + 55x

5x = 40

x = 8 hours

Now the total cost for plumber A is

= 480

And, the total cost for plumber B is

= 40 + 55(8)

= 480

hence, the total cost is $480
