Given that:

     Force (F) = 8 N,

     inclination of ramp (θ) =15°

determine magnitude of net force (Fnet) = ?

                   Fx =8 cosθ

                        = 8 × cos 15

                        = 7.72 N ,

                    Fy = F sinθ

                         = 8 × sin 15

                         = 2.07 N ,

                Net force (Fnet) = sq.root [ (Fx)² + (Fy)²]

                                           = sq.root [(7.72)² + (2.07)²]

                                            = 8 N .

Magnitude of net force is 8 N

14. Name the 3 primary causes for the expected mass migration due to Climate
Change
Aliun [14]

Answer:

Climate change means a change in the state of the climate system that is sustained over a long period of time. These types of changes can occur due to natural or human causes.

Climate change and its effects on the planet can generate massive migrations, given the affectation of nature in certain parts of the planet.

Thus, an example would be the migration of populations from island countries, such as Fiji, Tonga or Samoa, to continental territories, due to the rise in sea level caused by the melting of the poles due to global warming.

Another example may be the desertification of certain regions, which would encourage migration by the inhabitants of these places to other territories.

Finally, climate change and its negative effects not only generate massive migrations caused by natural effects, but also by the economic effects of said changes, that is, by increases in poverty and inequality in the face of the scarcity of certain natural resources.

Evaporating water produces gaseous water. What has occurred during this process?
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

Heat has accelerated water atoms enough to break the surface tension which leads the liquid to turn into a gas

Explanation:

The state of a substance depends on the distribution of its atoms, therefore any atmosphere change (in this case heat) enough to change the atoms Distribution results in a change of state.

The first man jumps in his parachute Does not open. He accelerates at 10 m/s squared for four seconds before the parachute opens
malfutka [58]

The velocity of the parachutist after 4 seconds is 40 m/s (downward)

Explanation:

Before his parachute opens, the man is in free fall, so we can calculate its velocity at time t using the suvat equation:

v = u + at

where

v is the velocity at time t

u is the initial velocity

a=g=10 m/s^2 is the acceleration of gravity (taking downward as positive direction)

Assuming he jumps from rest,

u = 0

So, its velocity after t = 4 s is

v=0+(10)(4)=40 m/s

And the direction is downward, since the result is positive.
