Number of plants = 5

Amount of soil present for 5 plants = 3/4 gallons

Now here we have to find how much soil will each plant get.

So we have to apply unitary method here to find how much would each plant get the share of soil.

Soil required by 5 plants = 3/4 gallons

Soil required by 1 plant = 3/4 divided by 5 = 3/20 gallons

Answer: Each plant will get 3/20 gallons of soil.

HELP GEOMETRY!!!!!! The newest feature at the Great Park is the big orange balloon. The volume of this perfectly spherical ballo
WITCHER [35]

Answer: 8.3 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, The volume of this perfectly spherical balloon is approximately 2361.7 cubic feet.

Since, the volume of a sphere, V= \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3

Where r is the radius of the sphere.

Here V= 2361.7 cubic feet

Therefore, 2361.7=\frac{4}{3} \pi r^3

⇒ r^3= \frac{21\times 2361.7}{88}

⇒r= 563.5875^{1/3}=8.2601344693≈8.3 feet

Thus, the radius of the sphere = 8.3 feet

A vending machine company wants to check three of its machines to determine if they are properly dispensing 12 ounces of coffee.
Greeley [361]

Answer:

The correct option is B.

Step-by-step explanation:

The hypothesis to determine whether the vending machines are properly dispensing 12 ounces of coffee is:

<em>H</em>₀: \mu_{A}=\mu_{B}=\mu_{C}

<em>Hₐ</em>: Not all means are equal.

The ANOVA output is as follows:

One-way ANOVA: Machine A, Machine B, Machine C

Source           DF              SS                MS              F              P

Factor              2            8.363           4.182         31.73       0.000

Error               15             1.977            0.132

Total               17           10.340

The significance level is <em>α </em>= 0.05.

The <em>p</em>-value of the model is:

<em>p</em>-value = 0.000

Decision rule:

If the p-value of the test is less than the significance level then the null hypothesis will be rejected.

<em>p</em>-value = 0.000 < <em>α </em>= 0.05

The null hypothesis will be rejected.

Conclusion:

There is a significant difference between the means.

Thus, the correct option is B.

#18. C. 1&3
This is be cause when you simplify to y=.. for 4y=3x and 8y=6x, they both turn out to be y=3/4x. The constant of proportionality is 3/4 because both equations simplify to have that as a constant.
#19. D
Kathy can add less than or equal to 7 books to her suitcase.

To cross off the first two choices(A&B), you input a number above 7 and then multiply it by 1 3/4 . Add it to 37 1/2 and it will be more than 50, meaning it will not fit since the suitcase can’t have more than 50 pounds in it.

To cross off C, you would multiply 1 3/4 by 7 and get 12.25. Add 12.25 to 37 1/2 and you will get 49.75 . This result would mean that you can have less than 7 books or just 7 books, leaving the answer to be D.
