Answer:

a) 22.471 x 10^-11 N

b) -22.471 x 10^-11 N

Explanation:

given the charge on an electron = 1.6 x 10^-19 C

nucleus contain 79 protons

hence, charge on nucleus =79 x 1.6 x 10^-19 C

distance r = 9 x 10^-9 m

a) therefore, force exerted by the gold nucleus on the electron = Kqe/r^2

= 9 x 10^9 x 79 x 1.6 x 10^-19 x 1.6 x 10^-19 / ( 9 x 10^-9 m)^2

= 22.471 x 10^-11 N

b) force exerted by the electron on the gold nucleus ; = -Force exerted by gold on electron ( From newton third law of motion)

= - 22.471 x 10^-11 N

What object requires less force to overcome inertia B.80 kg piece of furniture or A.1000 kg vehicle
Tju [1.3M]

Less force will be necessary to overcome inertia for the 80 kg piece of furniture.

Force is a factor that has the power to alter an object's motion. A massed object's velocity can be changed or accelerated by a force. A push or a pull is a straightforward method to explain forces.

The term "moment of inertia" refers to the quantity that describes how a body resists angular acceleration and is calculated by multiplying each particle's mass by its square of the distance from the rotational axis.

I = mr², where m is the mass of the object and r is the distance to the rotation axis.

Therefore, The inertia is directly proportional to the mass of the object.

So, as the mass increases the inertia increases.

Therefore, 80 kg piece of furniture will require less force to overcome inertia.

ABC Corporation paid an executive $300,000.00 in annual compensation. A state court determines that this compensation was excess
Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

This a pure case of conflict of interests between the interest of the shareholders who are the original owners of the company and management's interest in earning much more,even if it at the expense of the shareholders.

Explanation:

Management is the entrusted with the day to day affairs of corporations.In carrying out their duty,they must have at the back of their minds that maximization of shareholder's wealth is of top priority.

However.some management teams in a bid to gain undue advantage set their remuneration below reasonable levels.

Ultimately,when this happens, their duty to watch over the investment of shareholders clashes with their interest for personal gains.

Sam, whose mass is 75 kg , takes off across level snow on his jet-powered skis. The skis have a thrust of 160 N and a coefficien
Volgvan

Answer:

top speed = 17.25

Total height = 281.19 m

Explanation:

given data

mass = 75 kg

thrust = 160 N

coefficient of kinetic friction = 0.1

solution

we get here frictional force acting that is

frictional force = \mu *m*g   .............1

frictional force = 0.1 × 75 × 9.8

frictional force = 73.5 N

and

Net force acting will be F = 160 - 73.5  N

F = 86.5 N

so

Acceleration in the First 15 second  will be

F = ma .........2

86.5 = 75 × a

a = 1.15 m/s²

and

now After 15 second the velocity will be  as

v = u + at   ..........3

here u is 0

so v will be

V = 1.15 × 15

v = 17.25

and

now we get travels distance S  in 15 s

s = u × t + 0.5 × a × t²

here u is 0

so distance s will be

s = 0.5 × a × t²

s = 0.5 ×  1.15 × 15²

s = 129.37 m

and

now  acceleration acting is

F =  \mu *m*g

m a =  \mu *m*g

a = \mu* g

a = - 0.98

here it is negative it mean downward nature of acceleration

and

now we get distance s by this formula

V² - u² = 2 a s

here v velocity is 0  and

u initial velocity is 17.25 m/s

put here value

0 - 17.25² = 2 × (-0.98) × s

solve it we get

s = 151.82 m

so

Total height is

Total height = 129.37 m + 151.82 m

Total height = 281.19 m
