A reaction mechanism must ultimately be understood as a "blow-by-blow" description of the molecular-level events whose sequence leads from reactants to products. These elementary steps (also called elementary reactions) are almost always very simple ones involving one, two, or [rarely] three chemical species which are classified

It is common knowledge that chemical reactions occur more rapidly at higher temperatures. Everyone knows that milk turns sour much more rapidly if stored at room temperature rather than in a refrigerator, butter goes rancid more quickly in the summer than in the winter, and eggs hard-boil more quickly at sea level than in the mountains. For the same reason, cold-blooded animals such as reptiles and insects tend to be noticeably more lethargic on cold days.

Thermal energy relates direction to motion at the molecular level. As the temperature rises, molecules move faster and collide more vigorously, greatly increasing the likelihood of bond cleavages and rearrangements as described above.

Uranium-238 decays very slowly.its half-life is 4.47 billion years.
coldgirl [10]
13.4 billion years is 3 times of the half-life, 4.47 billion years. So the Uranium-238 will go through three times of half decay. So the remain percentage will be 50%*50%*50%=12.5%.

a chemistry teacher adds 50.0 ml of 1.50 m h2so4 solution to 200 ml of water. What is the concentration of the final solution?
nevsk [136]

Answer:0.300M

Explanation:1) Data:

a) Initial solution

M = 1.50M

V = 50.0 ml = 0.050 l

b) Solvent added = 200 ml = 0.200 l

2) Formula:

Molarity: M = moles of solute / volume of solution is liters

3) Solution:

a) initial solution:

Clearing moles from the molarity formula: moles = M × V

moles of H₂SO₄ = M × V = 1.5M × 0.050 l = 0.075 mol

b) final solution:

i) Volumen of solution = 0.050 l + 0.200l = 0.250l

ii) M = 0.075 mol / 0.250 l = 0.300M ← answeer

What is the polarity of black pepper
leva [86]

Answer:

Polarity in chemistry referred to physical properties of compounds related to solubility, melting and boiling properties.

Polarity of black pepper can be seen when black pepper is sprinkled on water. The balck pepper float on water and get displaced if touched.

It means black pepper is non-polar and have no difference in electronegativity between bonded atoms. Black pepper is so light in weight and non-polar, the surface tension of water keep it floating in the water.
