Chemistry

Answer:

Net ionic equation:

Ca⁺²(aq)  + CO²⁻₃(aq)     →   CaCO₃(s)

Explanation:

Chemical equation:

K₂CO₃  +   CaCl₂    →   KCl  +  CaCO₃

Balance chemical equation:

K₂CO₃(aq)  +   CaCl₂(aq)    →   2KCl(aq)  +  CaCO₃(s)

Ionic equation:

2K⁺(aq) + CO²⁻₃(aq)  +   Ca⁺²(aq)  + 2Cl⁻(aq)  →   2K⁺(aq) + 2Cl⁻(aq)  + CaCO₃(s)

Net ionic equation:

CO²⁻₃(aq)  +   Ca⁺²(aq)      →   CaCO₃(s)

The K⁺(aq) and Cl⁻ (aq) are spectator ions that's why these are not written in net ionic equation. The CaCO₃ can not be splitted into ions because it is present in solid form.

Spectator ions:

These ions are same in both side of chemical reaction. These ions are cancel out. Their presence can not effect the equilibrium of reaction that's why these ions are omitted in net ionic equatio n.

Which of the following statements is correct about the gases which participate in photosynthesis?
antoniya [11.8K]
First let's look at the photosynthesis equation:

6CO₂ + 6H₂O --> C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂

We know that:

CO₂ is carbon dioxide
H₂O is water
C₆H₁₂O₆ is glucose
O₂ is oxygen

We also know that the left side of the reaction is the reactants (which gets used up), and the right side is what is produced.

Now, we can look at each of the choices to see which one matches the equation:

We can eliminate the last two choices automatically because there is no hydrogen atoms present on either side.
The second one is not correct because oxygen is a product, not a reactant.

Therefore, the answer is the first one because carbon dioxide is a reactant, and oxygen is a product.

I’m not good at chemistry
dimulka [17.4K]

Answer:

λ = 5.56 × 10⁻³ m

Explanation:

You have to use the formula c = λv to solve the problem. Review what you are given. You are given v and c, where v = 5.40 × 10¹⁰ Hz and c = 3.00 × 10⁸ m/s. The value c is for the speed of light and is something you need to memorize. You will use it often in physics and sometimes in chemistry.

Now that you figured out what you know, you can see that there is only one unknown, allowing you to solve.

c = λv

λ = c/v

λ = (3.00 × 10⁸ m/s)/(5.40 × 10¹⁰ Hz)

λ = 5.56 × 10⁻³ m
