Answer:

Inattentional blindness.

Explanation:

Different types of visual awareness are repetition blindness, visual making and change blindness. The inattentional blindness is quite distinct from the other visual awareness.

Inattentional blindness may be defined as the process of the failure without notice the fully and clearly visible but the unexpected object. This might occur because the individual is involved in other task. Lan has paid no attention on reading beacuse she was involved in other task clearly indicates the inattentional blindness.

Thus, the answer is inattentional blindness.

Answer:

Inattentional blindness

Explanation:

Inattentional blindness term was coined by Arien Mack and Irvin Rock to refer a phenomenon in which the person misses something in their visual eyes due to the attention on some another task, object or event.

In the given question since the Lan was focussing on how hungry she was at the time of while she was reading some text therefore this is considered the example of the Inattentional blindness phenomenon.

Thus, Inattentional blindness is the correct answer.

14. Pretend for a moment you are a receptionist in a skilled nursing facility. You’re expecting a new resident, Mr. Rodriguez, to arrive at the facility this afternoon. He is an 85-year-old gentleman who is coming for several days of rehabilitation prior to being released to his home. His wife, age 82, is awaiting hip replacement surgery and walks with a cane. You happen to look out the glass door to see the taxi pull up and you see Mr. Rodriguez and his wife are in the car. The taxi driver does not get out of the car to open the door for his passengers. You observe their struggle to exit the taxi.

a. What do you think the admit and his wife are feeling at this point?

b. Describe what action you would take in this circumstance.

c. Explain what kinds of skills you would be demonstrating by taking this action

First, I would ask the driver it's okay to open and close doors for people and I know for a fact that the admit and his wife are a bit upset because they were expecting the driver's assistance. In that case, I would provide therapeutic communication because offering my assistance would be the polite thing to do. I would proceed on keeping a positive attitude and showing empathy by asking a few questions about the admit and his wife situation while helping them inside. Last but not least, I'll continue to communicate with the patients, so that way they'll feel better and ready to see the doctor.
