Answer: The chemical symbols for three different atoms or atomic cations with 27 electrons are Co,Cu^{2+} \& Ni^{1+}

Explanation:

An atom is neutral specie with equal number of electrons and protons in it.

Atomic number =  Number of protons = Number of electrons

Atomic number =- Number electrons = 27

The atom with 27 atomic number Cobalt that Co.

[Co]=[Ar]3d^74s^2

A cation is an ionic species which carry positive charge.When an atom looses an electron it forms cation.

Copper has atomic number of 29. When the copper atom looses 2 electrons it get converted into copper cation that is Cu^{2+} with 27 electrons in its ion.

[Cu]=[Ar]3d^{10}4s^1

[Cu^{2+}]=[Ar]3d^{9}4s^0

Nickel has atomic number of 28.When the nickel atom looses 1 electron it get converted into nickel cation that is Ni^{1+} with 27 electrons in its ion.

[Ni]=[Ar]3d^{8}4s^2

[Ni^{1+}]=[Ar]3d^{8}4s^1

So,the chemical symbols for three different atoms or atomic cations with 27 electrons are Co,Cu^{2+} \& Ni^{1+}

Can someone help with this???

Answer:

2Mg(s) +O₂(g) → 2MgO(s)

Explanation:

Mg(s) +O₂(g) → MgO(s)

When a chemical equation is balanced, the number of atoms of each element is equal on both sides of the arrow. We usually balance O and H last.

In this case, the number of Mg atoms is equal on both sides. Thus, let's move on to balance the O atoms. On the left side, there are 2 O atoms, while there is only 1 O atom on the left side. Thus, write a '2' in front of MgO.

Mg(s) +O₂(g) → 2MgO(s)

Now, the number of Mg atoms is not equal. Write a '2' in front of Mg to balance it.

2Mg(s) +O₂(g) → 2MgO(s)

The equation is now balanced with 2 Mg atoms and 2 O atoms on each side.

Which rigid cylinder contains the same number of gas molecules at STP as a 2.0-liter rigid cylinder containing H2(g) at STP?
Inga [223]
When we say STP that means the system is at its standard temperature and pressure. Both systems is having the same condition hence temperature and pressure is constant. We then set the amount of gas in both cases to be equal. Hence from the ideal gas law,
PV=nRT we can say that with everything constant, volume must also be constant.

The answer is (2) 2 L of methane gas.
