A cell is connected to a voltmeter with a very high resistance. The voltmeter reads 1.49v. The cell is then connected to a fixed

Answer:

The internal resistance of the cell is, r = 2.27 Ω

Explanation:

Given data,

The voltage of the battery, v = 1.49 V

The external resistor of resistance, R = 3.2 Ω

The current through the circuit after connecting resistor, I = 0.27 A

The theoretical value of current through the circuit,

                                                          Iₓ = v / R

                                                            = 1.49 / 3.2

                                                             = 0.4585 A

But, the actual reading of the current through the circuit is,

                                                              I = 0.27 A

Therefore, the total resistance Rₓ = v / I

                                                        = 1.49 / 0.27

                                                         = 5.52 Ω

Therefore, the internal resistance of the cell,

                                                     r = Rₓ - R

                                                        = 5.52 Ω - 3.2 Ω

∴                                                    r = 2.27 Ω

State guy lussac law
tatuchka [14]

The combined gas law has no official founder; it is simply the incorporation of the three laws that was discovered. The combined gas law is a gas law that combines Gay-Lussac’s Law, Boyle’s Law and Charle’s Law. Boyle’s law states that pressure is inversely proportional with volume at constant temperature. Charle’s law states that volume is directly proportional with temperature at constant pressure. And Gay-Lussac’s law shows that pressure is directly proportional with temperature at constant volume. The combination of these laws known now as combined gas law gives the ratio between the product of pressure-volume and the temperature of the system is constant. Which gives PV/T=k(constant). When comparing a substance under different conditions, the combined gas law becomes P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2.

What is the best description of a mechanical wave?
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

Answer:

A mechanical wave is a wave that is an oscillation of matter, and therefore transfers energy through a medium. While waves can move over long distances, the movement of the medium of transmission—the material—is limited. Therefore, the oscillating material does not move far from its initial equilibrium position.

As we are increasing the frequency in the simulation the wavelength is decreasing

So if speed remains constant then wavelength and frequency depends inversely on each other

If we are in boat and and moving over very small wavelengths then these small wavelength will be encountered continuously by the boat in short interval of times

#2

As we are changing the amplitude in the simulation there is no change in the speed frequency and wavelength.

So amplitude is independent of all these parameter

Amplitude of wave will decide the energy of wave

So light of greater intensity is the light of larger amplitude
