Answer:

C. Differential.

Explanation:

Differential media are bacteriological growth media that contain specific ingredients to allow one to distinguish selected species or categories of bacteria by visual observation. Examples of differential media includes:

Blood agar (used in strep tests) contains bovine heart blood that becomes transparent in the presence of β-hemolytic organisms such as Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus.

Eosin methylene blue is differential for lactose fermentation.

Streptococcuseosin methylene blue (EMB), which is differential for lactose and sucrose fermentation.

Winds in the Northern Hemisphere shift in a clockwise direction. What cause this change in direction?
mina [271]

Answer:

The earth rotates on its axis from west to east. This rotation causes both the wind and ocean currents to move from east to west. Thus, the wind movement and ocean currents in the northern hemisphere goes clockwise and counter clockwise in the southern hemisphere.

Because Earth rotates on its axis from west towards the east, air near the surface from the tropics is moved toward a westerly direction (toward the right as it is often called) in the northern hemisphere. Notice the difference between the lines drawn when the globe did not move (shown with arrow heads) and the lines which were drawn as Earth rotated.

Find the hybridization of carbon in acetone
sveticcg [70]
Acetone has the oxygen and the carbon sp2 hybridized. In carbon dioxide, the oxygens are sp2, but the carbon is sp hybridized. ... For SO2−4, the sulfur needs to utilize 2 of the d orbitals for the sigma bonds, so it would be spd^2 hybridized, and it uses the 2 p orbitals for the pi bonds.
