Number of Atoms in Gold for given mass can be calculated using following formula,

              # of Moles  =  Number of Atoms / 6.022 × 10²³
Or,
             Number of Atoms  =  Moles × 6.022 × 10²³     ------- (1)

Calculating Moles,
As,
                              Moles  =  Mass / M.mass
So,
                              Moles  =  4.25 g / 196.96 g/mol

                              Moles  =  0.0215

Putting value of mole in eq.1,

             Number of Atoms  =  0.0215 × 6.022 × 10²³

             Number of Atoms  =  1.299 × 10²²

Result:
            4.25 g
of Gold Nugget contains 1.299 × 10²² Atoms.

How do you represent a shared pair of electrons when drawing the Lewis structure of a covalent bond
nataly862011 [7]

Answer: Each pair of shared electrons is a covalent bond which can be represented by a dash.

Explanation:

In a Lewis dot structure, the central atom can share electrons through bonds with the surrounding atoms, and this can look like a dash between the atoms.

In two or more complete sentences explain how to balance the chemical equation and classify its reaction type.
Artemon [7]

Answer:

#1. Balanced equation: 2C₅H₅ + Fe → Fe(C₅H₅)₂

#2. Type of reaction: Synthesis reaction

Explanation:

  • Balanced equations are equations that obey the law of conservation of mass.
  • When an equation is balanced the number of atoms of each element is equal on both side of the equation.
  • Equations are balanced by putting appropriate coefficients on the reactants and products.
  • In our case, we are going to put coefficients 2, 1 and 1.
  • Thus, the balanced equation will be;

2C₅H₅ + Fe → Fe(C₅H₅)₂

  • This type of a reaction is known as synthesis reaction, in which two or more reactants or compounds combine to form a single compound or product.

A sample of hydrogen occupies a volume of 351 mL at a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. What is the new volume if the temperatu
xeze [42]
Volume of Hydrogen V1 = 351mL
Temperature T1 = 20 = 20 + 273 = 293 K
Temperature T2 = 38 = 38 + 273 = 311 K
We have V1 x T2 = V2 x T1
So V2 = (V1 x T2) / T1 = (351 x 311) / 293 = 372.56
Volume at 38 C = 373 ml
