Answer:

Explanation:

   In a triangle

a / sin A = b / sinB = c / sinC

Putting the values

43 / sin A = 44 / sinB

sinA / sinB = 43 / 44 = 1 / 1.023

A + B = 180 - 83 = 97

sinA / sin ( 97 - A ) = 1 / 1.023

sin 97 cos A - cos 97 sin A = 1.023 sin A

= .9925 cos A + .122 sin A = 1.023 sin A

.9925 cos A = .901 sin A

squaring

.985 cos²A = .8118 sin²A

.985 - .985 sin²A = .8118 sin²A

.985 = 1.7968 sin²A

sinA = .74

A = 47.73

B = 49.27

c / sin C = b / sin B

c = b sinC / sinB

= 44 x sin 83 / sin 49.27

= 44 x .9925 / .7578

= 57.62

Find ∆G for a cell whose potential is +0.24 V with 4 moles of electrons exchanged.
Setler [38]
We need to use the following formula
ΔG= -nF E_{cell}

E_{cell}= 0.24V
n= 4 moles
F= constant= 96500C/mol

let's plug in the values.

ΔG= -(4)(96500)(0.24)= -92640 J or -92.6 kJ

(d) Solid lithium nitride conducts electricity and is used in batteries. Why would you expect solid lithium nitride not to condu
guapka [62]

Answer:

Solid ionic compounds do not conduct electricity because the ions are held firmly in place. The ions cannot move to conduct the electric current. But when an ionic compound melts, the charged ions are free to move. Therefore, molten ionic compounds do conduct electricity.

Reasons for taking the melting point of a solid sample
Rudik [331]

Definition of melting point:

The melting point of solid is defined as the temperature at which the solid exists in equilibrium with its liquid under an external pressure of one atmosphere.

Reason:

The melting point is an important physical property of a compound.

1) The melting point can be used to identify a substance.

2) As an indication of its purity.
