Im taking lambda as x (wavelength)

m = 0.17 kg

v=37m/s

h=6.62*10^-34m²kg/s

x= h/mv

x = 6.62 \times 10 ^{ - 34}  \div 0.17 \times 37
x =1.05 \times {10}^{ - 34}  m

Calculate [H3O+] and [OH−] for each of the following solutions at 25 ∘C given the pH.<br> pH= 2.89
dimaraw [331]

Answer: The value of [H_{3}O^{+}] is 0.0012 M and [OH^{-}] is 1.02 \times 10^{-14}.

Explanation:

pH is the negative logarithm of concentration of hydrogen ion.

It is given that pH is 2.89. So, the value of concentration of hydrogen ions is calculated as follows.

pH = - log [H^{+}]\\2.89 = - log [H^{+}]\\conc. H^{+} = 0.0012 M

The relation between pH and pOH value is as follows.

pH + pOH = 14

0.0012 + pOH = 14

pOH = 14 - 0.0012 = 13.99

Now, pOH is the negative logarithm of concentration of hydroxide ions.

Hence, [OH^{-}] is calculated as follows.

pOH = - log [OH^{-}]\\13.99 = - log [OH^{-}]\\conc. OH^{-} = 1.02 \times 10^{-14} M

Thus, we can conclude that the value of [H_{3}O^{+}] is 0.0012 M and [OH^{-}] is 1.02 \times 10^{-14}.

Identify the limiting reactant when 7.81 g of HCl reacts with 5.24 g of NaOH to produce NaCl and H2O
elena55 [62]

Answer:

NaOH is limiting

Explanation:

                                 Hcl   +    NaOH   ------------      Nacl   + H2O

Given                     7.81g        5.24g

mol weights           1+35.5     23+16+1

                                 36.5            40

No of Moles        7.81/36.5       5.24/40

                             0.2139              0.131

No of moles = weight/ molecular weight

No of moles of NaOH is  lower so it is limiting as according to equation one mole of Hcl requires mole of NaOH so equal number of moles are required. NaOH is 0.131 which is far lower than 0.2139
