Stocks are units of ownership in a company. The stock market is a place where stocks are bought and sold. When you buy a stock,

you own a part of the company. If the company’s profits go up, the stock value goes up. If the profits fall, so does the value of the stock. Stock prices rise and fall every day. Last week, Isabelle bought stock in a toy company. Since then, the price of the stock had a change of -3 dollars. What is the absolute value of -3?

The absolute value is three.
Think of it like this. Whenever the absolute value is there, the number or expression inside, whether negative or positive takes a shower. When they are done showering, they are clean. The clean equals positive, all numbers after absolute value are positive so the answer is three.

9s plus 3=57 pls help me
m_a_m_a [10]
Your ultimate goal is to get the variable secluded all by itself.  You'll have to use the opposite operation to do this and remember, what you do to one side, you have to do to the other.
1. 9s + 3 = 57
2. Subtract 3 from each side. This will result in 9s = 54
3.  To undo the multiplication of 9s you'll divide both sides by 9.  9s/9 = 54/9
4.  The ending result is: s=6
5.  Go back and check your work by substituting it in your original equation.

Segment JK is tangent to circle P and circle q, what does JK equal?
aliya0001 [1]

I'd be more than happy to do all of that, but I can't even start
until I see YOUR picture of the problem.  That will show me
if circle-P and circle-q are overlapping, just touching, separate
from each other, same size, different sizes, their radii, and where
the points J and K are.  THOSE are the little things I need to know
in order to get started.

You want to know the distance between J and K, but you haven't
given us one single distance or size of anything in the problem ...
nothing at all to work with.  That right there makes it impossible.

I'm super confused on parts g and h because no formula is given, just the limit values. These are the values:
Mrrafil [7]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

1)

So we have the limit:

\lim_{x\to 4} (f\circ g)(x)

This is equivalent to:

\lim_{x\to 4} f(g(x))

To solve, we can use the following property:

\lim_{x \to c} f(g(x))=f( \lim_{x \to c} g(x))

Therefore, our limit is the same as:

\lim_{x\to 4} f(g(x))\\=f(\lim_{x\to 4} g(x))

We are already given that the limit as x approaches 4 of g(x) is -2. Therefore:

=f(-2)

You simply need to evaluate this to solve the limit. I don't have enough information to solve this, so maybe you have something more.

Similarly, for the second one:

2)

We have:

\lim_{x\to 4} (g\circ f)(x)\\=\lim_{x\to 4}g(f(x))

Using the same property:

=g(\lim_{x\to 4} f(x))

And we are told that this is 16, so:

=g(16)

And we just need to evaluate this to find the limit.

I hope you find this helpful!
