A uniform film of a material that has index of refraction 1.30 covers the front surface of a pane made of glass with index of re

fraction 1.55. When a beam of monochromatic light initially traveling in air strikes the film at normal incidence, the minimum film thickness for which the light reflected from the air-film interface and the light reflected from the film-glass interface cancel is 115 nm .

Answer:

The energy of each photon in the light beam is 1.73\times10^{-18}\ J.

Explanation:

Given that,

Index of refraction of glass =1.55

Index of refraction of material =1.30

Wavelength = 115 nm

We need to calculate the energy of each photon in the light beam

Using formula of energy

E=\dfrac{hc}{\lambda}

Where, h = Planck constant

\lambda=wavelength

c = speed of light

Put the value into formula

E=\dfrac{6.63\times10^{-34}\times3\times10^{8}}{115\times10^{-9}}

E=1.73\times10^{-18}\ J

Hence, The energy of each photon in the light beam is 1.73\times10^{-18}\ J.

How many electrons will there be in 5 coulombs of charge?
zysi [14]
There's no physics or electronics to this question.
It's just arithmetic.

The last part of the question TELLS you how many 'coulombs per electron'.

If you just flip that fraction (divide ' 1 ' by it, take its reciprocal), then
you'll have 'electrons per coulomb',  and 5 of those will answer the question.

I got 31,250,000,000,000,000,000 .  I could be wrong.  You should check it.

Does mars have a planet-wide magnetic field?
romanna [79]
Any object in space has a field, it's just the smaller it is the lower the force of that field. Two baseballs can be placed 1 meter apart and one of them if not both will pull the other twords it. This experiment was done on a simulation and it took 4 weeks for them to hit each other

If you fired a rifle straight upwards at 1000 m/s, how far up will the bullet get?
nadya68 [22]

Answer:

h = 51020.40 meters

Explanation:

Speed of the rifle, v = 1000 m/s

Let h is the height gained by the bullet. It can be calculated using the conservation of energy as :

\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2=mgh

h=\dfrac{v^2}{2g}

h=\dfrac{(1000\ m/s)^2}{2\times 9.8\ m/s^2}

h = 51020.40 meters

So, the bullet will get up to a height of 51020.40 meters. Hence, this is the required solution.
