Two concentric circular loops of wire lie on a tabletop, one inside the other. The inner wire has a diameter of 20.0 cm and carr

ies a clockwise current of 12.0 A, as viewed from above, and the outer wire has a diameter of 30.0 cm. What must be the magnitude and direction (as viewed from above) of the current in the outer wire so that the net magnetic field due to this combination of wires is zero at the common center of the wires?

Answer:

Explanation:

Magnetic field due to circular wire at the center = μ₀ I / 2 r

I is current and r is radius . μ₀ = 4π x 10⁻⁷.

field B₁ due to inner loop

B₁ = 4π x 10⁻⁷ x 12 / 2 x .20

= 376.8 x 10⁻⁷

Field due to outer loop

B₂ = 4π x 10⁻⁷ x I / 2 x .30

For equilibrium

B₁ = B₂

376.8 x 10⁻⁷ =  4π x 10⁻⁷ x I / 2 x .30

I = 18 A.

The direction should be opposite to that in the inner wire . It should be anti-clockwise.

ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

The moment of inertia of the wheel is 0.593 kg-m².

Explanation:

Given that,

Force = 82.0 N

Radius r = 0.150 m

Angular speed = 12.8 rev/s

Time = 3.88 s

We need to calculate the torque

Using formula of torque

\tau=F\times r

\tau=82.0\times0.150

\tau=12.3\ N-m

Now, The angular acceleration

\dfrac{d\omega}{dt}=\dfrac{12.8\times2\pi}{3.88}

\dfrac{d\omega}{dt}=20.73\ rad/s^2

We need to calculate the moment of inertia

Using relation between torque and moment of inertia

\tau=I\times\dfrac{d\omega}{dt}

I=\dfrac{I}{\dfrac{d\omega}{dt}}

I=\dfrac{12.3}{20.73}

I= 0.593\ kg-m^2

Hence, The moment of inertia of the wheel is 0.593 kg-m².

Answer:

Explanation:

The maximum efficient power plant will be the plant based on carnot cycle whose efficiency is given by the following formula

Efficiency = (T₁ - T₂)  / T₁

T₁ is temperature of hot reservoir and T₂ is temperature of cold reservoir.

Putting the given values

efficiency of power plant = (35 - 5) / (273 + 35 )

= 30 / 308

= .097

= 9.7 %

What would the shape of a flag need to be in order to generate a cylinder?
klasskru [66]
<span>In order to generate a cylinder shape we can use a rectangle or square shape object or thing. When a rectangle or square shape paper or material is rolled horizontally it will get a open cylindrical shape. Therefore the shape of the flag can be square or rectangular as usual.</span>

Creates an image that appears upside down behind the focal point
zheka24 [161]
An image that appears upside down behind the focal point is an image that is reflected on a concave mirror. Mirrors reflect different kinds of images based on the placement of an object that is reflected towards it. There are two kinds of mirrors, concave and a convex mirrors, the latter makes objects seem smaller and farther than where it is exactly.
