Saturated fats are those in which there is no double bonds between the individual carbon atoms in their structure. They are generally solid at room temperature and are obtained from animal products. Unsaturated fats have at least one double bond in their structure. They are generally liquid at room temperature. Unsaturated fats are obtained from plants and fish.

The correct type of fats for each statement is given below:

  1. Statement 1- Both saturated and unsaturated fats contain nine calories per gram?
  2. Statement 2- Saturated fats might increase LDL cholesterol levels?
  3. Statement 3- Unsaturated fats helps maintain a good balance of cholesterol in blood?
  4. Statement 4- Unsaturated fats - examples include omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids?
  5. Statement 5- Both saturated and unsaturated fats absorbed by the villi of the small intestine?
  6. Statement 6- Saturated fats solid at room temperature?

The reaction shown in the question is an inversion reaction.

The conversion of maltose to glucose is an inversion reaction. An inversion reaction is said to have occurred when the atoms and groups in a molecule are rearranged. The numbers and type of each atom in a molecule remains the same.

The reaction; Maltose +A -> Glucose + B is an example of an inversion reaction. The missing items A and B are both the catalyst maltase.
