However not all collisions leads to reactions. A minimum amount of energy referresdd to as  the activation energy must be achieved. Also the molecules need to be of proper/right orientation.

This is present in the mathematical equation;

Where Ea = activation energy

A = A is the pre-exponential factor, a constant for each chemical reaction. According to collision theory, A is the frequency of collisions in the correct orientation
