A 142 cm tall person stands

Physics
1 answer:

Answer:

Height of the image is 9.06 cm

Explanation:

As we know that the person is standing 250 cm from the lens

Now we know that the focal length of the lens is

f = 15 cm

now by lens formula we have

\frac{1}{f} = \frac{1}{d_i} + \frac{1}{d_o}

\frac{1}{15} = \frac{1}{d_i} + \frac{1}{250}

d_i = 15.96 cm

now we know by the formula of magnification

\frac{h_i}{h_o} = \frac{15.96}{250}

now we have

h_o = 142 cm

h_i = 142\times \frac{15.96}{250}

h_i = 9.06 cm

In dragons, the allele B produces blue body color. The allele b produces green body color. The B allele is dominant to the b all
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

bb

Explanation:

Allele B codes for blue colour.

Allele b codes for green colour.

A gene is usually denoted by two alleles and allele B is dominant over allele b. This means that when B and b are together as Bb, blue colouration will be expressed while green colouration will be repressed.

Hence, for the green colouration to be expressed, B must not be present. <em>The genotype therefore must be bb.</em>

State the basic law of charges
vlabodo [156]

Answer:

Things that have the same charge push each other away (they repel each other). This is called the Law of Charges. … Things that have more electrons than protons are negatively charged, while things with fewer electrons than protons are positively charged. Things with the same charge repel each other.

A small sculpture made of brass (rho brass = 8470 kg/m 3 ) is believed to have a secret central cavity. The weight of the sculpt
GaryK [48]

Answer:

Volume of secret cavity = 4 x 10⁻⁶m³

Explanation:

The weight of the sculpture in air is 15.76 N

Mass of the sculpture = 1.61 kg

Mass = Volume x Density

1.61 = V x 8470

Volume of brass =1.90 x 10⁻⁴ m³

When it is submerged in water, the weight is 13.86 N.

That is

  Weight of sculpture - Weight of water displaced = 13.86 N

  15.76 - Weight of water displaced = 13.86

   Weight of water displaced = 1.9 N

   Mass of water displaced = 0.194 kg

 Mass = Volume x Density

  0.194 = V x 1000

  Volume of water displaced =1.94 x 10⁻⁴ m³

Volume of secret cavity =  Volume of water displaced - Volume of brass material

Volume of secret cavity = 1.94 x 10⁻⁴-1.94 x 10⁻⁴ = 0.04x 10⁻⁴ = 4 x 10⁻⁶m³

Can someone help me find the which direction is north and which is south on this solenoid?
arsen [322]

Explanation:

Now, looking down the solenoid tube determine what direction is the winding. If clockwise in relation to the positive wire then is the south pole, if anti-clockwise then is the north pole. So, to summarize the magnetic south pole is always clockwise in relation to the positive wire.
