By Faraday’s Law, if a conducting wire of length ℓ meters moves at velocity v m/s perpendicular to a magnetic field of strength
sasho [114]

Answer

given,

conducting wire  length =  ℓ m = 0.5

moves at velocity =  v m/s = v ( t ) = 4 t + 9

magnetic field strength = B  = 2 T

V = − B ℓ v

V = - 2 × 0.5 × v

V = - v

a) \dfrac{dV}{dv} = \dfrac{d(-v)}{dv}

   \dfrac{dV}{dv} = -1

b) given

    v ( t ) = 4 t + 9

    V = (-1)(4t + 9)

   \dfrac{dV}{dt} = \dfrac{d((-1)(4t + 9))}{dt}

   \dfrac{dV}{dv} = -4

Please show work and tell me how you did it.
Ilya [14]

Explanation:

1) speed of bicycle = \frac{distance}{time}

speed of bicycle= \frac{20}{2}

speed of bicycle = 10 miles/hour

2)speed of rocket = \frac{distance}{time}

speed of rocket= \frac{9000}{12.12}

speed of rocket= 742.57 meter/second

3)speed of jet plane = \frac{distance}{time}

speed of jet plane= \frac{528}{4}

speed of jet plane= 132 meter/second

4)speed = \frac{distance}{time}

time = \frac{distance}{speed}

time of trip= \frac{350}{80}

time of trip = 4.375 hour

5) Distance = speed × time

Distance = 6 × 3 × 60

Distance = 1080 meter

6) Average speed = \frac{total distance}{total time}

Average speed = \frac{816}{10}

Average speed = 81.6 km/hour

7) Time = \frac{Distance}{speed}

Time = \frac{450 \times 1000}{120}

Time = 3750 m/s

A 5.00 kg block of metal with
Nitella [24]

Answer:

953.5 J/kg.°C

Explanation:

From the question,

Heat lost by the metal = heat gained by the glass.

cm(t₁-t₃) = c'm'(t₃-t₂)................. Equation 1

Where c = specific heat capacity of the metal, m = mass of the metal, c' = specific heat capacity of the glass, m' = mass of the glass, t₁ = initial temperature of  metal, t₂ = initial temperature of glass, t₃ = Equilibrium temperature

Make c' the subject of the equation

c' = cm(t₁-t₃)/m'(t₃-t₂)................ Equation 2

Given: m = 5 kg, c = 650 J/kg.°C, m' = 1.25 kg, t₁ = 80 °C, t₂ = 20 °C, t₃ = 63.9 °C

Substitute these values into equation 2

c' = 5×650(80-63.9)/1.25(63.9-20)

c' = (5×650×16.1)/(1.25×43.9)

c' = 52325/54.875

c' = 953.5 J/kg.°C
