To solve this problem we will apply the concepts related to the electric field. This is defined as the product between the angular frequency, the number of turns of the body (solenoid in this case) the magnetic field and the sine of the angular frequency and time. Mathematically this can be described as

E = \omega NBA |sin \omega t|

Here,

\omega = Angular frequency

N = Number of turns

B = Magnetic field

The emf has its maximum value when sin \omega t = \pm 1

Thus the amplitude of the emf is

E = \omega NBA

When number of turns of armature, area and applied magnetic field remains constant, induced emf is proportional to angular speed.

E \propto \omega

Further it can be written as follows,

\frac{E_1}{E_2} \propto \frac{\omega_1}{\omega_2}

E_2 = \frac{\omega_2}{\omega_1}E_1

E_2 = \frac{10rad/s}{15rad/s}(27.0V)

E_2 = 18V

Therefore the maximum amplitude of induced emf when armature rotates at 10.0rad/s is 18V

You are designing a 108 cm3 right circular cylindrical can whose manufacture will take waste into account. There is no waste in
FinnZ [79.3K]

Explanation:

It is given that,

The volume of a right circular cylindrical, V=108\ cm^3

We know that the volume of the cylinder is given by :

V=\pi r^2 h

108=\pi r^2 h

h=\dfrac{108}{\pi r^2}............(1)

The upper area is given by :

A=32r^2+2\pi rh

A=32r^2+2\pi r\times \dfrac{108}{\pi r^2}

A=32r^2+\dfrac{216}{r}

For maximum area, differentiate above equation wrt r such that, we get :

\dfrac{dA}{dr}=64r-\dfrac{216}{r^2}

64r-\dfrac{216}{r^2}=0

r^3=\dfrac{216}{64}

r = 1.83 m

Dividing equation (1) with r such that,

\dfrac{h}{r}=\dfrac{108}{\pi r}

\dfrac{h}{r}=\dfrac{108}{\pi 1.83}

\dfrac{h}{r}=59 \pi

Hence, this is the required solution.

How far away is Earth from the Sun?
Snowcat [4.5K]
<span>d. 93 billion miles

</span>Earth, being the third planet from the sun is unique in the universe  because it is currently the only planet known to support life. Earth's distance from the sun is really one of  the key reasons why it is has widespread  life.Earth occupies what scientists sometimes call the Goldilocks zone. Its distance from the sun means its neither too hot nor too cold to support liquid water. Water is thought to be a key ingredient for life.<span> The energy from the sun in just the right intensity and the availability of water on the earth make it possible for life to thrive on earth. Plants use both these resources for photosynthesis and make nutrients that are available to support the life of animals on the earth. </span>
