Answer:

      A student is sitting at a desk, getting ready for a math test.

Oh...no…I’m in big trouble. In all the days, why today do we have to have a pop quiz in math? I didn’t EVEN study! I just hate math! Ever since I started algebra, math has gotten harder and harder! Every time I look at an equation, the numbers get all mixed up and jumbled in my brain, and I try to remember the way to solve the problem. And by the time I find out how to solve that problem, HALF of the class is already DONE! But today might be a different day. Like they say, if you believe in yourself, anything is possible. Oh,no, Mr. Boyd is coming! (The teacher places the quiz in front of her/him.) (She/he looks at the quiz.) Oh, this doesn’t look half as bad. Ok, if  two x plus fifty equals four x plus nine, then you bring the two over and… oh no! I forgot what you do next! (Sighs) ok, focus, focus. Breathe in, and breathe out.(Sighs) Ok, I got this.(Completes the rest of the quiz without a problem.) Finished! (Teacher comes by to collect his/her work.) Ok, I think I did good. I swear for the REST of my life I will never do a math problem again!

Step-by-step explanation:

Hope you like it. I have hard time with Algebra.

For each hour he babysits, Anderson earns $1 more than half of Carey’s hourly rate. Anderson earns $6 per hour. Which equation c
Illusion [34]

Answer: Our required equation would be 6=\dfrac{c}{2}+1

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Amount that Anderson earns per hour = $6

According to question, Anderson earns $1 more than half of Carey's hourly rate.

Let the hourly rate of Carey be 'c'.

So, it becomes,

6=\dfrac{c}{2}+1

And the value of c would be

6=\dfrac{c}{2}+1\\\\6-1=\dfrac{c}{2}\\\\5=\dfrac{c}{2}\\\\c=\$10

Hence, our required equation would be 6=\dfrac{c}{2}+1

HCF of 405 and 1605 answer it fast
Rashid [163]

Answer:

hcf=(1,605; 600) = 3 × 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Prime Factorization of a number: finding the prime numbers that multiply together to make that number.

1,605 = 3 × 5 × 107;

1,605 is not a prime, is a composite number;

600 = 23 × 3 × 52;

600 is not a prime, is a composite number;

* Positive integers that are only dividing by themselves and 1 are called prime numbers. A prime number has only two factors: 1 and itself.

* A composite number is a positive integer that has at least one factor (divisor) other than 1 and itself.

Multiply all the common prime factors, by the lowest exponents (if any).

gcf, hcf, gcd (1,605; 600) = 3 × 5

gcf, hcf, gcd (1,605; 600) = 3 × 5 = 15;

The numbers have common prime factors.

Tim bought a washing machine for a total of $651 with tax included. What was the price of the washing machine before tax if Tim
Molodets [167]

Answer:

<em>The washing machine cost $600 before tax</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Percentages </u>

The washing machine cost $651 including a tax of 8.5%.

If x was the cost of the washing machine before tax, then the tax was:

x*8.5/100 = 0.085x

It was added to the original price:

x + 0.085x = 1.085x

That is the final price, thus

1.085x=$651

Solving:

x = $651/1.085

x = $600

The washing machine cost $600 before tax
