Acceleration= change in speed/time.

Acceleration = 70,000 m/s / 7 sec.

Acceleration = 10,000 m/s^2

This is an absurd claim. It's obviously a misprint, and nobody who sees it will believe it.

As soon as you give it the gas, the car would cover 3 miles in one second, and any thing or any body riding in that car would pull more than 1,000 G's !

Our technology has no way to produce acceleration like that. But if we could, the car and its driver would be instantly torn apart !

An object has an acceleration of 18.0 m/s/s. If the net force was doubled and the mass were tripled then the new acceleration wo
kenny6666 [7]

Answer:

12.0 m/s²

Explanation:

Newton's second law:

F = ma

Solving for acceleration:

a = F/m

If force is doubled and mass is tripled:

a' = (2F)/(3m)

a' = ⅔ (F/m)

a' = ⅔ (18.0 m/s²)

a' = 12.0 m/s²

If a typical smelt weighs 225 g, what is the total mass of pcbs in a smelt in the great lakes? If a typical smelt weighs 225 g,
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer;

= 2.34 x 10^-4 g pcbs

Explanation;

-A typical smelt has 1.04 ppm of PCB is great lakes.

Therefore;

The amount of PCB in a smelt in great leak can be calculated by multiplying the mass of smelt by the pcbs present in a smelt

= 225 g * ( 1.04/100000)

= 2.34 x10^-4 g pcbs

Which of the following happens to an object in uniform circular motion?
podryga [215]

Answer:

As an object moves in a circle, it is constantly changing its direction. ... Accelerating objects are objects which are changing their velocity - either the speed (i.e., magnitude of the velocity vector) or the direction. An object undergoing uniform circular motion is moving with a constant speed.

What is the acceleration of a 349 kg object that moved with a force of 750 N?
zavuch27 [327]

Answer:

The answer is 2.15 m/s²

Explanation:

The acceleration of an object given it's mass and the force acting on it can be found by using the formula

a = \frac{f}{m} \\

where

f is the force

m is the mass

From the question we have

a = \frac{750}{349} \\ = 2.14899713...

We have the final answer as

2.15 m/s²

Hope this helps you

Consider a boat heading due east at 15 miles/hour. The water's current is moving at 7.1 miles/hour at 45º south of east. Drag ve
givi [52]

If a boat is going East at 15mph and there is a water current going southeast at 45° then the boat is being drifted southward. So since the current is going at an angle then it has a x and y component. So Rx refers to the x-component force of the current and Ry refers to the y-component of the current, and |R| refers to the magnitude of these forces.
