Answer:

Ca(s) + N₂(g) + 3O₂(g) → Ca(NO₃)₂ (s)

Explanation:

The reaction of the formation of Ca(NO₃)₂(s) , is as follows -

Ca + N₂ + O₂ → Ca(NO₃)₂

The above reaction , can be balanced by adding whole numbers ,

Hence , the balanced reaction is as follows -

Ca + N₂ + 3O₂ → Ca(NO₃)₂

The states of the respective molecules is -

the state at which the atoms are most stable or the state at which the atoms are most commonly found .

Hence ,

Calcium is most stable in solid state

Oxygen is most stable in gaseous state

Nitrogen is most stable in gaseous state

hence , the balanced reaction with all the states mentioned is as follows -

Ca(s) + N₂(g) + 3O₂(g) → Ca(NO₃)₂ (s) .

What % of all the atoms in the universe are hydrogen
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

Over ninety percent of all the atoms in the Universe are hydrogen atoms.

Explanation:

Over ninety percent of all the atoms in the Universe are hydrogen atoms. By mass, hydrogen makes up about 75% of all matter in the Universe. Hydrogen atoms are also the smallest and lightest of all the atoms with only one electron and one proton in a common single hydrogen atom (called protium).

A complex ion that forms in solution has a structure that:____.
xeze [42]

Answer:

can only be determined experimentally.

Explanation:

In the early days of inorganic chemistry, the structure of complex ions remained a mystery hence the name ''complex''.

These ions appear to have structures that defied accurate elucidation. However, by diligent laboratory investigation, Alfred Werner was able to accurately determine the structure of cobalt complexes. As a result of this, he is regarded as a pathfinder in coordination chemistry.

Hence, the structure of complex ions can only be determined experimentally.

Given the NaOH density =1.0698g mL^-1, How many mL of .71M HCl would be required to neutralize 11.33g of 2.03 M NaOH?
SSSSS [86.1K]

The volume in ml of 0.71 M HCl that would be required to neutralize 11.33 g of 2.03 M NaOH is 30.3 ml

calculation

Step 1 : write equation for reaction

NaOH + HCl →NaCl +H₂O

Step 2:find the volume of NaOH

volume=mass/ density

= 11.33 g/ 1.0698 g/ml =10.59 ml

Step 3: find the moles of NaOH

moles = molarity x volume in liters

molarity= 2.03 M=2.03 mol/l

volume in liters =10.59/1000 =0.0106 L

moles = 2.03 M x 0.0106 L =0.0215 moles

step 4: use the mole ratio to determine the moles of HCl

from equation in step 1 , NaOH:HCl is 1:1 therefore the moles of HCl is also 0.0215 moles

Step 5: find volume of HCl

volume= moles/ molarity

molarity =0.71 M =0.71 mol/l

=0.0215 moles /0.71 mol/l=0.0303 L

into ml =0.0303 x 1000=30.3 ml
